Hace un par de semanas atrás estaba en casa sacando algunos juegos de mesa que tengo y me llamó poderosamente la atención el juego de SCRABBLE que poseo, de inmediato vinieron a mí diferentes ideas, hasta que concreté y conecté con una en particular.

A couple of weeks ago I was at home taking out some board games that I have and the SCRABBLE game I own caught my attention, immediately different ideas came to me, until I concreted and connected with one in particular.

Como Docente que soy, ando constantemente buscando herramientas que me permitan tener un mejor y mayor dinamismo en el aula de clases para con mis Estudiantes al momento de realizar actividades académicas que les sean y me sean productivas y a la vez divertidas, así que decidí llevar este juego que le mencioné anteriormente a una escala mayor.

As a teacher, I am constantly looking for tools that allow me to have a better and greater dynamism in the classroom for my students when performing academic activities that are productive and fun at the same time, so I decided to take this game I mentioned above to a larger scale.

Me reuní con mis directivos y le plantee la posibilidad de construir en el patio central de la institución donde laboro, un SCRABBLE a escala humana, para motivar a los Estudiantes al estudio, a la integración, ellos me miraron un poco incrédulos sobre lo que les había plantado y luego de algunos minutos de amena discusión sobre los pros y contras del pequeño proyecto, decidieron aceptar y apoyar mi propuesta.

I met with my directors and raised the possibility of building in the central courtyard of the institution where I work, a SCRABBLE on a human scale, to motivate students to study, to integration, they looked at me a little incredulous about what I had planted and after a few minutes of pleasant discussion about the pros and cons of the small project, they decided to accept and support my proposal.

Así que de inmediato me puse en marcha con mi plan, el cual va por la primera etapa aún, empecé con la medición del terreno, conseguí la pintura y a los jóvenes y todo el personal les pedí trajeran cajas de cartón con las cuales construiremos las láminas con las letras correspondientes para poco a poco conformar todo el tablero.

So I immediately set out with my plan, which is still in the first stage, I started with the measurement of the land, I got the paint and I asked the young people and all the staff to bring cardboard boxes with which we will build the sheets with the corresponding letters to gradually make up the entire board.

Los jóvenes andan muy entusiasmados con la idea y yo ni se diga, no veo el momento de culminar para poder mostrarles a ustedes el proyecto totalmente terminado, en los próximos días y semanas estaré acá escribiéndole sobre los avances hasta la feliz culminación del proyecto.

The young people are very enthusiastic about the idea and I can't wait to show you the project completely finished, in the coming days and weeks I will be here writing about the progress until the happy completion of the project.

Por ahora continuaré trabajando en ello, esperando que no surjan dificultades que impidan concretar esta idea la cual me gustaría esté culminada antes de que culmine el año escolar presente, es una actividad que se irá construyendo por etapas y espero poder compartir con todos ustedes cada una de ellas e inspirarlos a llevar a cabo cualquier idea que tengan por muy “loca” o imposible que parezca.

For now I will continue working on it, hoping that no difficulties arise to prevent the realization of this idea which I would like to be completed before the end of this school year, it is an activity that will be built in stages and I hope to share with all of you each of them and inspire you to carry out any idea you have no matter how "crazy" or impossible it may seem.
