VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL

Así tal cual catalogo este día, pues, luego de dos semanas de actividades parroquiales diversas para celebrar nuestro séptimo aniversario de elevación canónica como parroquia Santa Faustina Kowalska, hoy clausuramos de manera solemne dichas festividades, lo hicimos con un par de actividades durante la mañana hasta el mediodía.

Lo primero fue una procesión desde una de las capillas que atiendo, allí nos reunimos a partir de las 9:00am de la mañana para salir hacia la sede parroquial, a 1km aproximadamente, dónde celebrariamos la misa. En la procesión llevamos una reliquia de la santa patrona de la comunidad parroquial, lo cual para nosotros tiene un gran valor, ya que nos recuerda de manera muy sensible que en el camino de la vida contamos con ejemplos de fe que nos estimulan a seguir siempre hacia adelante y nos desmayar.

Llegado al templo (alrededor de las 10:30am) donde celebramos la misa, todo transcurrió de maravilla, de una manera muy fluida y organizada, agradable y en un ambiente 100 % festivo. Cabe acotar que en la Eucaristía, además de los fieles que normalmente acuden, contamos con la visita en peregrinación de devotos de nuestra patrona, pues a través de ella en el siglo XX y en el nuestro también, el mensaje de la misericordia divina ha tenido un nuevo impulso, de hecho, ella es la primera santa canonizada de este tercer milenio, en abril del año 2000.

Un detalle súper especial de este día fue contar con la presencia de la consul de Polonia en Barquisimeto, la cual me agradó mucho por su receptividad y sencillez al aceptar la invitación que le hicimos hace apenas unos días. Totalmente complacido y honrado de haber compartido hoy con dos polacas, pues Santa Faustina también es originaria de este país.

ENGLISH VERSION

This is how I catalog this day, because after two weeks of various parish activities to celebrate our seventh anniversary of canonical elevation as the Santa Faustina Kowalska parish, today we solemnly closed these festivities. We did it with a couple of activities during the morning until noon.

The first was a procession from one of the chapels I attend. There we gathered from 9:00 am to leave for the parish headquarters, approximately 1 km away, where we would celebrate mass. In the procession we carried a relic of the patron saint of the parish community, which for us has great value, since it reminds us in a very sensitive way that on the path of life we have examples of faith that encourage us to always keep going and not give up.

When we arrived at the temple (around 10:30 am) where we celebrated mass, everything went wonderfully, in a very fluid and organized way, pleasant and in a 100% festive atmosphere. It is worth mentioning that in the Eucharist, in addition to the faithful who normally attend, we counted on the visit in pilgrimage of devotees of our patron saint, because through her in the 20th century and in ours as well, the message of divine mercy has had a new impulse, in fact, she is the first saint canonized in this third millennium, in April 2000.

A super special detail of this day was to have the presence of the Polish consul in Barquisimeto, which I enjoyed very much for her receptiveness and simplicity in accepting the invitation we made her just a few days ago. Totally pleased and honored to have shared today with two Polish women, as Saint Faustina is also from this country.
