Hello friends of the Vibes Web 3 Music Competition, my name is @jesus-son and I welcome you to my blog on this occasion of the week 20 of the community's musical competition. It is my pleasure to share my participation with you and I hope that you would love it.

In this post, I share with you the cover of an old but inspiring song. It is titled "Omemma" by one of the most talented gospel artistes in Nigeria named Frank Edward. Frank is in fact an international musician for the fact that he has done collaborative works with some international artistes like Don Moen and Co and is thus known beyond the peripheral of Nigeria or Africa.

The word "Omemma" is a word in the Nigerian Igbo language and it means, "the doer of Good. It is a song of praise to God. Here, God is referred to as the doer of good. Indeed, when we evaluate our lives and tell ourselves the truth, we would realize that it's been God who has been leading us all the way.

Thus, it is not out of place to use everything we have to give thanks to God. He deserves even more than we can give to Him. Funny enough is the fact that our praises add nothing to His greatness but profit us even more for our salvation. Dear friends, make yourself a man of praise. Learn to appreciate God with your whole being.

I tried to do something new today by using the guitar. I decided to use the guitar because I loved how it wss used to animate the song in the original and I tried to replicate it and I am glad I did. Playing the guitar and singing is something I have actually never done and being able to do it in the little way I did here is for me a happy beginning.

Dear friends, I make this cover with all sense of love for music and with the intention to give praise to God. I encourage you to join me and enjoy and praise God for who He is. Thanks for coming around and for supporting me.

Lyrics

With my voice lifted up
I will sing Your praise
With my hands lifted up
I will worship You, You
You've taken the pain and the sorrow away
You've given me peace undeniable
No need to cry 'cause You're always with me
You're are my father, my everything

chorus

Omema eh
Agam ebuli hallelujah eburu
Omema eh
Ebube dike, ebube dike, Igwe, oh

You gave us a great entry this week brother.
This was a beautiful listen and you sang both emotionally and carefully, and full of passion and intensity.

This is one of your best performances to date, you have been improving. Just be careful on those higher notes for Omema eh, you strained your voice a bit, you can access your falsetto head voice by dropping your chin down, and aiming the air flow of notes to the top of the roof of your mouth instead of straining your voice, which actually closes the air flow pocket of your mouth and throat to a smaller distance which gives the singing a “forced” unnatural sound through much effort.

Other than that your guitar playing and overall singing performance was highly enjoyable and moving. This was a great gift of music

Hey Jesus-son, I loved your Week 20 entry.

Your cover of 'Omemma' by Frank Edward is amazing! The guitar addition was a great touch.

Your vocals are so soulful, and the message of praising God really shines through.

Kudos for stepping out of your comfort zone and playing guitar while singing, that's impressive!

You're super talented.

Oh, this was a morning song for me back then in university, I would always sing it as it played in my room.

You sang this song well and I enjoyed listening and watching you sing and play the guitar.

This is a lovely worship song and you did a great job performing it this week, it brought back some good memories.
