Stressed Out? What Are Your Coping Mechanisms?
To me, stress is anything that makes me feel tired of everything. We experience stress in every area of our lives, and how we manage it matters a lot.
Other sources of stress in daily life include work-related pressures, financial difficulties, relationship issues, health problems, and even unanticipated situations that may not be anticipated. Understanding and managing stressors is crucial to effectively managing the impact of stress on our lives.
When my mom went to the village about two weeks ago for a relative's funeral, I was left responsible for taking care of the house.
Before my mom travelled to the village, she mostly took care of almost everything. My mom even brings my food to my room (she is so sweet) until tomorrow. It still feels awkward when she does that, but she's my mom, she loves me, and I love her too hehe.
Now that she isn't around, I have to cook, clean, and still be sane. The calculations I've been doing and how much goes out for them have made me very tired since last weekend.
Visiting the kitchen is something I dislike, especially when it involves taking into account my priorities, financial constraints, and making sure I'm creating the best meal possible.
Lately, I've been feeling stressed about it because I'm spending a lot and no more money is coming in, so you could say I'm financially stressed. On the other hand, I was conscious of dealing with this stress so that I wouldn't sag or fall apart. But was I really good at it?.
These days, when I go to bed at night, I find it really difficult to get up from my bed in the morning because my mind is already calculating all the stress it would face for the day. I have to wake up, take care of my son, and his cousins, who have been around since the holiday break. After bathing them and making them breakfast, the calculations for launch and dinner start.
Most of the time, lunch and dinner are usually the same meal....What stresses me out the most is when I stroll out to get the items needed to cook, and the frustrating part is when you get to the vendor only to find out that the price of the items has changed from what you thought they were.
Despite this stress, there are a couple of things I've been doing to cope, and they include binge watching Netflix, playing a Web3 game called Pixel, sleeping as much as possible, or eating as much as I can, and avoiding people and things that would make me more stressed, regardless of who they are.
However, if I had more effective stress-management tools and strategies, I'm sure that I wouldn't feel too tired to do stuff that I would do on a good day, I also know that I would have more energy and motivation, and most importantly, I know I would feel more confident and in control.
It could enable me to be more productive and concentrate on important tasks. I would also feel more productive and would have more time for my hobbies and interests. Overall, I would be much better and healthier. I am aware that mindfulness is a crucial skill that can help me manage stress better and improve my overall health.
As an illustration, I could invest a few minutes in daily meditation to focus on my breathing and relax, as well as reduce stress. Additionally: I might practice mindfulness exercises about the mind and heart.
Well, stress is natural. part of life, and we can't avoid it no matter how careful we try to be. Knowing what triggers these tensions and how to handle them can make our challenges manageable.

I feel like all the stress you are calculating may even be somewhere thinking about itself o, but the moment you calculate it , you manifest them into real life😂
We just can't help it most times lol
Yes I understand
Stress and life are pals I suppose, maybe 1st cousins or something. 😂 We can't separate stress from life even if we want to. Identifying what works for you in managing stress, is all that matters.
Saying first cousin is a good illustration hahah
It's true, it's just part of life.
It's good you've found ways to manage your stress, it's not easy being one who cares for the house, God is your strength.

Yeah, it isn't easy at all. thank you
You see the stress associated with the increase in the price of commodities, that's the one I'm currently feeling. Ah, you'll just enter market and be walking around like someone who lost their way because you don't even know where to start buying things from. 😞

Our sad reality oo
It is well with us.

I know this kind of thing.
For me, once I'm not ready to tag along with people, I enter my house and lock my door😂
