My struggles as pregnant
Every pregnant has different stories, has different experiences and has different struggles. Pregnancy varies from one pregnant to another and even from one child to another.
I am expecting our second child this month, this coming 13 to 18 depending if it will go out earlier or later. Thinking about it gives me a mix emotions. I am excited to see our baby number two yet I felt nervous thinking about my first giving birth experience thinking that it might happen again but praying for a safe, normal and healthy delivery.
For today's blog, I want to share to you my struggles as pregnant of our baby number 2.
During the first month of my first trimester, I never knew that I was pregnant. I haven't feel any differences until my monthly period didn't came.
During this month, I wonder why my skin in my fingers easily changes just like in the picture above. I don't know if it has something in relation with my pregnancy. To mommies here have you experienced like this during your pregnancy? Or this is just happened during that time.
On the second month, still I felt okay, nothing change a lot except that sometimes I felt so sleepy during noon time. It is a struggle for me because I am attending the school supplies and printing shop of my sister in law. One noon time, I rolled down the roll up door into half as if it is closed but people still call my attention. I cannot sleep.
On the third month, very big changes happened and the struggles are real.
Food are bitter
There were times that the food are bitter. The rice, bread, the biscuits, my favorite waffles and other food are bitter.
It started when we went to a mall and I asked my husband to buy some waffles for the three of us. I am excited to eat it after a prayer of thanks but I wonder why it is so bitter that I really wasn't able to eat it. At first I thought that it was cooked differently but when they taste it, it wasn't bitter to them.
When we went home, I felt so hungry and excited to eat our dinner but sadly the rice are so bitter too. My husband thought that I am just kidding but Im not. He went out to buy some bread, star bread to be specific. He made me a chocolate drink using Milo to be paired with that bread but sadly, the bread is bitter too. I almost cry because I felt so hungry but I don't have anything to try to eat that night. I went to bed without eating.
Not just a morning sickness but whole day sickness
Some mother told me that they experience morning sickness which means they have nausea and vomiting every morning but mine is more than that. I vomit not just in the morning but also in the noon time and evening. I vomit after eating that it seems everything I ate comes out.
I lose weight so easily during this month and I became thin and looked so stressed.
Good smell becomes bad smell
Perfumes are made to have pleasant smell right? But during this period they are so smelly for me that I will vomit everytime my husband will apply it.
Alcohol have a little fragrance and it became smelly for me too.
My lotion became smelly for me too. Glad that bath soap and shampoo are okay for me.
Blood of the fish is so smelly for me that I had a hard time cleaning it, I remember that I really had to clean the fish and cook it so I used two face mask but in the end, I still vomit.
Cooking oil when heated to saute onions and garlic and even to fry something is so smelly for me.
During this period is the most difficult time of my pregnancy that sometimes I almost cry because I am vomiting and nothing will come out.
I am always not feeling well that during this time my husband take over in doing the laundry every weekend.
In the first month of second trimester, some whole day sickness are still there. The bad smell are still there and sometimes the bitter taste are still there but good thing in the next month, I felt better and I can eat well.
My tummy are bigger this time and I want to eat most of the time. I feel hungry from time to time and craving for something.
During this period I experienced another different struggles:
Peeing time to time
This is one of the struggles of the pregnants, peeing from time to time. You just got out from the comfort room and then later on you can feel you want to pee again.
During evening, this is really a struggle because it is so difficult to get up and down time to time because you're peeing from time to time.
My feet are swelling
My feet are swelling, I felt worried about it though many people told me that it is normal. They said that it will just disappear before giving birth or after giving birth.
Itchiness on my skin
This is something different because other pregnant never experienced this. There were times in the day, most especially in the afternoon and above all in the evening that my skin is itching.
I had a hard time going back to sleep at night when I wake up because my skin are so itchy, my back, my hands, my feet and everywhere.
Now, I am counting down the days when my baby is coming out. As of the moment, I am here now in the OB-GYN clinic for an ultrasound for the last time.
I am praying for a normal, safe and healthy delivery. Please pray for me too.
I don't know when I can write again after this article.
Thank you so much for reading my #pregnancydiary. Thank you so much my hive family.
On my first month, I felt so tired and sleepy and my appetite was double. Second month was terrible as i became picky with foods which my favorite before. Also would puke after meal. Brushing my teeth and taking a bath was a struggle as this made me also puke 😆
The rest , yep my feet swell but not that much. My whole pregnancy was okay, all labtest are good but ended up in emergency CS ,😂
Toothbrush and taking a bath is okay for me but eating food is struggle as they are so bitter.
Why emergency CS?
On my first born, everything is okay too but ended in emergency CS because my BP got high and my son's heartbit became so low UpTo 60.
Thank you so much @lhes and @hivepakistan for the support.
Whoa, the things a pregnant woman had to experience are just too much 🙉🙉. I could never! I can already imagine how heavy that big bump is. Parang nakakangalay na sa likod just seeing it. I hope you have a safe delivery. When ba?

When I was pregnant with my little ones I had leg cramps at night, it was so annoying. You are only a few days away from giving birth and I hope everything goes very well during the birth.
Oh leg cramps, I forgot to mention here plus the struggle of sleeping due to position. Yes leg cramps is another big struggle and its hurt so much.
Thank you for your prayers.
I pray you can deliver normally as you pray :)
When I was pregnant, I also couldn't hold the onion smell when cooking :)
Yes sis the smell is so annoying that everytime my husband cooks I will walk away a little bit from our house.
Thank you for your prayers and thank you for your hive gift. God bless.
I hope you can have a normal and safe delivery.
Thank you so much for your prayers.
Hello, @jenthoughts, I hope all goes well in this last stage of pregnancy and that the birth is natural and not too stressful and painful. Stay positive. I've heard that you experience a lot of unpleasant things during pregnancy, besides the physical change which is quite dramatic, deep, intense... so many adjectives I can use here... but then many blessings come later and make up for it.
A hug.
Thank you so much for your prayers. I really pray for a safe delivery.

I understand your feelings Ma'am @jenthoughts
When I was pregnant with my only son, I was always sleepy and tired, and I was very picky when it came to food. If I don't like the smell, I don't eat. I am very sensitive to smell, even to my favorite perfume when I am not yet pregnant. I also feel warm even after taking a shower.😊
Yes being pregnant is so different. We really have many struggles but thanks God for the strength we still survive.
