A visit to our garden: Planting Cassava
Garden is always one of our dating place, one of our family bonding place. Yes you read it right because my husband, me and our son will have a good time in our garden.
Gardening is always part of our family bonding and exercise. We enjoyed being there and we have a different task to do but we always end up helping each other.
One day, our god father gave us cassava stem for planting. He said it is another good variety of cassava. My husband is curious about it so we planned to plant it very soon.
There is a holiday here in our country and my husband don't have work during holidays so it is a great time for family bonding, a great time for gardening.
We went to our garden to plant the cassava but before that we need to prepare the land. My husband do the preparation while I do the cutting of cassava stem. I'm almost done cutting all of them when my husband noticed that I cut it so long, lol. He said that the cassava stem is like a firewood because of its length, lol. But off course it can still be planted hehehe.
While my husband is preparing the land, our son is also busy with his own work which we didn't told him to do so. He is trying to make a hole so he could also plant a cassava but I told him the hole is so near to each other.
When I'm done, we started planting the cassava. Our little one can't stop himself to help. His father teached him the right position of the cassava to be planted.
We planted them one by one, our son is the one to put cassava stem on the hole and I am the one who will plant it. My husband also helped me when he's done.
We still have time when we're done planting so we decided to clean the cassava area that we planted a months ago. We uprooted grass and weeds.
I and my husband works together to make our garden clean and full of plants.
It is so good to see it clean and free from weeds. I also felt happy seeing the plants grows steadily and healthy.
Here we planted the new and another variety of cassava. Hopefully they will grow fast and healthy.
When we planted something, we also expect to harvest something in the right time. We went home that day having two bunch of bananas we harvested from our garden. We felt so grateful and blessed having another harvest. Someday we can also harvest from the cassavas we planted.
Planting will teach you patience while waiting for the plants to grow and bare fruits. It will also give you satisfaction seeing them grow and above all when you can harvest fruits from them. It will teach you to be grateful especially when you are eating the fruits of the plant you planted.
So, take time to plant! Take time to have a garden and do the gardening.
All photos are mine.
This is also my participation for the Hive Garden September Challenge. You are also invited to join. Let's go and inspire more people to do gardening.
How good it is to harvest fruits and vegetables from our garden, I congratulate you for including the whole family in the cultivation of your garden. My regards

Maagang matuto ang anak mo mag gardening hehe
Talaga sis kasi everytime we go sa garden Kasama talaga sya and he wants to have his own work to do too.
Love the soil, it is perfect for planting cassava. I wish the soil on my backyard also like that so that I could also plant some cassava.
Yes the soil is good, Minsan nga lang mga manok Ang unang naghaharveat hehehe
Ay oo, ganun talaga kapag nalalapitan ng mga manok. Noong bata pa ako mga nasa fifty meters and layo ng taniman namin ng kamoteng kahoy sa bahay namin.
Planting is such a happy activity for the whole family. Your hubby has a very good assistant. Ganda ng lupa sa Inyo sis perfect sya for cassava talaga.
Excited to see them grow soon and will yield lots of bunga!!!
Sana nga sis Dami maging harvest nila soon kasi Ako Isa sa probz namin doon ay Ang mga manok.
Thanks for visiting my post sis.
That's really an awesome family bonding. And even your son, may pagkukusa na tumulong, pakasipag naman ay. Maaga syang matututo sa ganito and he'll know too how important gardening is, or having own garden sa loob ng bakuran.
Ou sis eager to help talaga at magagalit sya if di sya patulungin hehehe
Planting will teach one patience because that is required to have a bountiful harvest later. You and your family used that as an opportunity to bond together and your son is also helpful. This is something children should be taught; how to be of help to others and their family.
You have a beautiful garden 😍

It's so lovely to see you and your husband teach your son how to garden. It's one of the best skills you can pass on, and clearly it's a great bonding time for you as well!
Yes gardening is one of the basic skills that everyone should know. We are giving our best to let our son know how to do gardening.
Thanks for reading my post.
It's always a wonderful thing to see a family bonding while gardening. Start them young and they will be gardeners for life.
I wasn't sure what the cassava plant was used for and learned that it is used to make flour. I'm sure it is a lot healthier than the bleached flour that is sold in supermarkets.
Everything looks sop healthy.
Yes family in the garden is so good to see. We want our child knows how to garden because this is one of the basics of life.
Cassava can be cooked boiled and eaten. We can also make different recipes out of it. I shared about bodbod, a delicious food made of cassava, check it out HERE
Planting of cassava is one of the farm plantations I love doing. Thank God your husband isn't all that engaged this holiday season. Definitely, it will open a sweet bond in your family.
Hope your son is enjoying you guys presence?
Oh there's a lot of cassava too in your area? Good to hear it.
Yes our son enjoyed that moment of gardening with us.
Your garden looks very fresh and nice. The banana and cassava plants are very healthy. I like your son has an interest doing gardening. good luck with all your harvest.😊
Yes both banana and cassava are a good plant and yes my son loves gardening too.
