Rava Kesari
Kesari is a popular south indian dessert. This traditional sweet is served with breakfast in South India. This dish is easy to prepare. In this post we can clearly see about it.
Ingredients
Semolina 1/2 Kg
Sugar 1/2 Kg
Ghee
Cardamom
Dry Fruits and Nuts
Kesari Powder
Kesari Recipe
Roasting Semolina
Frying Dry Fruits and Nuts
Making Sugar Syrup
Making Kesari
First roast the semolina well and take it in a plate.
Add required amount of ghee in a hot pan and wait until it melts. Then add a little cardamom, dry fruits and nuts and fry it.
Then add required amount of water and 1/2 kg of sugar to it. This process is called making sugar syrup. Add Kesari Powder ( I used yellow color flavor). After wait until boiling.
After the sugar syrup boils, add semolina and mix. After five minutes Rava Kesari is ready.
Kesari powder can be used to add color and flavor.
