Splinterlands has been evolving throughout the years, including the addition of cards. Currently, the game has five (5) core edition sets of cards from Alpha, Beta, Untamed, Chaos, and Rebellion. This also includes its mini-sets, promo, and reward cards. This expansion of cards created a two (2) format ranked gameplay of the game which is the modern and wild league.
The Modern League includes all the latest core sets, including its mini set, promo, and reward cards. As of today, they are the Chaos Legion and Rebellion core set. On the other hand, the Wild League includes the old cards or the first core sets that have been released in the past years. This includes Alpha, Beta, and Untamed.
As the expansion of cards continues, new abilities, new tactics, and new experiences are also added to the game. In this blog, let's talk about the new Legendary conflict airdrop card "Nidhoggr".
Splinterlands game has released a preview of the first-ever 10-mana legendary airdrop conflict summoner. This is a dragon summoner from the Rebellion core set. Its name is **Nidhoggr**. "Nidhoggr" is the Rebellion set's Dragon legendary Tactics summoner. He's got teamwide -1 armor and -1 health debuffs, as well as a teamwide debilitation.
This Legendary summoner is very interesting and this can only be acquired through staking, whether it is a Rebellion card or a Rebellion pack. If you're interested in this summoner it's time to grab those rebellion cards and packs on the Splinterlands in-game market or other third-party markets and stake them in-game. However, it can be acquired in the market after the end of the staking period. It is possible when the owners of the cards will list them. I think these airdropped summoner cards are also available on the packs when the last airdrop card will be airdropped. So opening rebellion packs in the future will include these summoners in pack opening but it is not guaranteed.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Nidhoggr as a Summoner
Advantages:
Flexibility - the summoner is capable of using another splinter aside from a dragon which makes him flexible.
Legendary Card - Who doesn't want a legendary card? This card has more utility because of its rarity.
Playable in High Mana Battles - Its expensive mana makes him more dominating in high mana battles. We don't know.
Can be compared to Untamed Summoners - Dragon legendary Tactics summoner. He's got teamwide -1 armor and -1 health debuffs, as well as a teamwide debilitation. This card can be compared to untamed summoners because of their similarities.
Disadvantages:
Can't be utilized in low mana battles - because it is a 10 mana this summoner can rarely be seen on limited mana battles.
New to the Eyes - Being the first ever release 10 mana summoner, there's a need to explore more on its utility.
