Splinterlands Little League Hidden Secrets

Battle Mage Secrets is here again and the ruleset given is the "Little League". This ruleset means you can only use summoners and monsters that are 4 mana or less. This kind of ruleset is the hardest for me to formulate a strategy because the summoners and monsters are limited in mana usage.

Especially in the 14-21 mana battle, I usually spend more time creating a good lineup that can fit the battle ruleset. There is a lot to choose from in the wild league, but in the modern league it is less than that wild league, so it is harder to create a team.

In this blog, I will show my battle results with the Little League included in the battle rulesets. Join me as we uncover the secrets of the modern sets vs a combination of the old and modern sets battle. Let's see who's going to take the victory.

Battle Strategy:

Okay so in this battle I've already concluded that the opponent will gonna be utilizing the summoner "Mylor Crawling" which is a counter to melee damage because of the thorn's ability buff to its monsters lineup. So I decided to go magic and range damage. This is risky because this lineup will be vulnerable to a sneak team lineup that can easily destroy my strategy.

But, since I've already predicted what my opponent will use and risk the backline damage I've gone all-in in both magic and range damage with a sustainability first and second monsters tanky lineup. These first and second monsters are good tanks for this kind of rulesets and are a counter also to range and magic damage. These two tanks can neglect and reflect range and magic attacks because of their abilities. These two tanks' sustainability in the battle gives way for my main damage monsters to deal with and disrupt my opponent.

For transparency, the main strategy here is to sustain damage while disrupting enemy damage dealers.

Monsters Lineup:

Summoner: Kelya

This summoner gives an additional +1 speed and +1 armor to all friendly units. It's good for a sustained type of lineup.

First Position: Chaos Agent

This monster can neglect magic damage and can return fire 2 damage to melee and range monsters if they fail to deal damage to this monster.

Second Position: Daigendark Surveyor

A tanky 2 mana monster that has one of its abilities magic reflect. This is a counter for magic damage monsters especially in Little League ruleset.

Third Position: Musa Saline

A legendary reward card with 2 magic damage but equipped with great abilities.

Fourth Position: Xenith Archer

A 2-damage-range monster with a good overall stat.

Fifth Position: Igor Darkspear

A 3-damage-range monster that can stun enemies. I think the chance to stun enemies is 50%.

Sixth Position: Torrent Fiend

A sacrificial legendary monster but can debuff range damage at the same time.

Monster Spotlight:

Daigendark Surveyor

A common card from the latest Rebellion core set that possesses abilities like, magic reflect, slow, and stun. This monster is with no attack but with the ability weapons training it can have an attack. This common card has a decent amount of health that can be utilized in many ways which makes this card so good.

The modern league will be conquered with the rebellion sets when chaos legion sets leave the modern league. For sure new meta will arise and a new core set will be introduced that will blend with the rebellion cards.

Strategy Tips

Here are some invaluable tips to conquer the challenges that await:

1. Crafting Effective Team Compositions:

Focus on creating well-rounded team compositions that can adapt to a variety of situations. Include a mix of tanks, damage dealers, and support monsters to ensure versatility on the battlefield.

Consider the synergy between your monsters and how their abilities complement each other. A cohesive team will have a greater chance of success in the face of adversity.

2. Adapting Strategies to Opponent Compositions:

Stay flexible and be prepared to adapt your strategy on the fly based on your opponent's composition. Analyze their strengths and weaknesses and adjust your approach accordingly.

Keep an eye out for opportunities to exploit vulnerabilities in your opponent's lineup. Whether it's focusing on their squishy damage dealers or disrupting their support monsters, strategic targeting can turn the tide of battle in your favor.

3. Prioritizing Buffs and Debuffs:

Strategically utilize buffs and debuffs to gain an advantage on the battlefield. Prioritize abilities that can enhance your team's strengths or exploit your opponent's weaknesses.

Be mindful of the timing and placement of buffs and debuffs. A well-timed buff can turn the tide of battle in your favor, while a poorly executed debuff can leave your team vulnerable to counterattacks.
