Battle Mage Secrets is here again and it's time for another blog post for this week. Let's explore and dive into the battle ruleset "Going the Distance". What is this ruleset and its advantage when it is present in the battle?

Can you pass this challenge and advance to the league's top tier? Then if that is the case, please share your battle strategy in the comment section below and let us learn each of the strategies. Come on, let's dive into this blog post of mine. I hope you enjoy it!

What is the Going The Distance ruleset?

  • Only Monsters with Ranged Attack may be used in battles.
Advantage:

While this ruleset is present in your battle, it becomes more challenging because if you don't have enough monsters with ranged attacks you"'ll easily lose. If you"'ve been playing the game you should have acquired a decent amount of ranged monsters soulbound cards. They can be as useful as the core sets of cards. Additionally, you can also use monsters with dual attacks like a combination of melee and range attacks, and magic and range attacks. This kind of monster is great when this ruleset is present during a battle. Aside from this kind of monsters, the abilities of each monster also matter in this kind of ruleset. So be aware and careful and also be vigilant when choosing your team on the board.

Battle Overview:

Both players use the same summoner, this summoner is great in this kind of ruleset because the summoner's ability returns fire. It can buff all of your monsters and give return fire ability to them. Return fire ability is when hit with a Ranged attack, Monsters with Return Fire will return reduced damage to their attacker. The additional speed it gives to each of its monsters on the board is useful when it comes to whose monster attacks first. The more speed a monster has it is likely that will induce damage first.

When it comes to the monsters used, both player's monsters on the board are the same except for only one monster on the board are not the same.

Summoner Comparison:

As the summoner is a great counter in this kind of ruleset and both players use the same summoner, the question is who will gonna win the battle?

Monster Comparison:

They have the same monsters on the board but what matters is their positioning. The other factor is also the difference in the monster they use as their first-position monster. The other one considers putting a monster that can attack in the first position while the other is not.

Battle Result:

It comes out that the game battle result is a Draw. The game ended in fatigue when monsters reached round 20 and they will lose their life 1 and increased by 1 as the round continued.

Strategy Tips

Here are some invaluable tips to conquer the challenges that await:

1. Crafting Effective Team Compositions:

Focus on creating well-rounded team compositions that can adapt to a variety of situations. Include a mix of tanks, damage dealers, and support monsters to ensure versatility on the battlefield.

Consider the synergy between your monsters and how their abilities complement each other. A cohesive team will have a greater chance of success in the face of adversity.

2. Adapting Strategies to Opponent Compositions:

Stay flexible and be prepared to adapt your strategy on the fly based on your opponent's composition. Analyze their strengths and weaknesses and adjust your approach accordingly.

Keep an eye out for opportunities to exploit vulnerabilities in your opponent's lineup. Whether it's focusing on their squishy damage dealers or disrupting their support monsters, strategic targeting can turn the tide of battle in your favor.

3. Prioritizing Buffs and Debuffs:

Strategically utilize buffs and debuffs to gain an advantage on the battlefield. Prioritize abilities that can enhance your team's strengths or exploit your opponent's weaknesses.

Be mindful of the timing and placement of buffs and debuffs. A well-timed buff can turn the tide of battle in your favor, while a poorly executed debuff can leave your team vulnerable to counterattacks.
