Freewrite Prompt Day 2226: Not another election
The churning of the birds sang melodies to the morning sunrise. The transquility of the environment gave me peace, all I heard was the sound of the helicopter flying occasionally.
It was the day for another election, all activities have been shut down, business closed for that day. The popular question hovering around was been asked by loved ones and neighbors.
"Are you going to vote?" I was wondering whether to vote or not. My last experience was something I never wished to do again. I was intensional but it was my duty. Fulfilling that as a citizen and not been concerned whether my candidate wins or not but at least I have done my part.
I stepped out slowly each step was filled with uncertainty of how the election will be. Was it going to be peaceful or not? This question lingered in my heart, a gasp escaped my lips. I rubbed my hands together and shrugged casually compensating myself and being positive that it was going to fine. That was all I could do at the moment.
