Seguimos un poco con toda esta colección de diferentes vehículos a la que planeo hacerles sus respectivas fotografías en las semanas venideras. Hacer esto puede suponer un reto porque la idea es tratar de que una captura se parezca lo menos posible a las demás y eso conlleva a un trabajo creativo extra. El resultado en esta oportunidad fueron unas ocho fotos de tres diferentes modelos, de hecho eso así es como pretendo llevar esto, que por cada publicación sean no más de tres carros distintos.

We continue a bit with all this collection of different vehicles to which I plan to make their respective photographs in the coming weeks. Doing this can be a challenge because the idea is to try to make one shot look as little like the others as possible and that means extra creative work. The result this time was about eight photos of three different models, in fact that's how I intend to take this, that for each publication will be no more than three different cars.

Muchas veces, y creo que lo dije en una publicación pasada, trato de ser lo más realista posible a la hora de poner los carros en los entornos que yo crea correspondientes o donde ellos estarían en la vida real pero también es verdad que a veces puede que me salga un poco del libreto y juegue, literalmente, más de la cuenta con ellos. Por ejemplo, donde han visto un descapotable en un terreno lleno de rocas y piedras? - a ver, si es posible pero no es tan común. Y es que muchas veces lo que busco es el contraste, no solo de los colores sino de los mismos elementos que hayan en el encuadre de la fotografía.

Many times, and I think I said it in a previous post, I try to be as realistic as possible when it comes to putting the cars in the environments that I think correspond or where they would be in real life but it is also true that sometimes I may go a little off script and literally overplay with them. For example, where have you seen a convertible in a terrain full of rocks and stones? - Let's see, it's possible but it's not that common. And many times what I look for is the contrast, not only of the colors but of the same elements that are in the frame of the photograph.

Siempre he dicho que hacer fotos así es sumergirse en un mundo en donde lo que reina es la improvisación total, donde uno va con solamente la intención de hacer fotos más no con la forma y el cómo se van a hacer las mismas, es dejar que todo fluya y ya, no hay mejor explicación que esa. Para todas estas capturas siempre utilizo el mismo lente, un Sigma 70-200mm, un objetico que me da mucha versatilidad porque tiene un buen enfoque y una muy buena estabilidad.

I have always said that taking pictures like this is to immerse yourself in a world where what reigns is total improvisation, where one goes with only the intention of taking pictures but not with the way and how they are going to be taken, it is to let everything flow and that's it, there is no better explanation than that. For all these captures I always use the same lens, a Sigma 70-200mm, a lens that gives me a lot of versatility because it has a good focus and a very good stability.

Creo que desde que me pasé a Sigma es muy difícil que vuelva a las marcas nativas, mi cámara es una Nikon así que estaría hablando de cualquier lente de dicha marca. Siempre había usado el 70-300 pero por cuestiones de oportunidades en cuanto al precio me cambié a este Sigma y la verdad más feliz no puedo estar, una marca muy infravalorada pero que la realidad es que tienen productos de muy buena calidad.

I think that since I switched to Sigma it is very difficult for me to go back to the native brands, my camera is a Nikon so I would be talking about any lens of that brand. I had always used the 70-300 but because of the price opportunities I switched to this Sigma and the truth is that I couldn't be happier, a very underrated brand but the reality is that they have very good quality products.

Calculo que me quedarán como más de cincuenta carros de este estilo, a los cuales evidentemente no les haré fotos a todos, pero si trataré de traer los que más puedan llamar la atención para una fotos como estas. No me gusta hacer fotos por el simple hecho de hacerlas, quiero que tengan cierta estética y eso comienza con el hecho de que estos juguetes sean agradables a la vista y tengan un estilo muy particular. Así que me tocará buscar entre todos a ver cuales podrían ser los próximos tres elegidos.

I estimate that I will have more than fifty cars of this style, which obviously I will not take pictures of all of them, but I will try to bring the ones that can attract the most attention for a photo like this. I don't like to take pictures just for the sake of taking them, I want them to have a certain aesthetic and that starts with the fact that these toys are pleasing to the eye and have a very particular style. So I'm going to have to look around to see what the next three picks might be.

Quisiera tener más juguetes en mi poder porque las posibilidades con ellos son increíbles en el sentido fotográfico. No se imaginan todas las cosas que se pueden hacer teniendo ciertos tipos de juguetes, una cámara fotográfica y una pizca de imaginación y creatividad. Pero bueno, por los momentos me tengo que conformar con estos carros y saber que cada vez que haga más fotos pues el listón también sube, no me puedo atascar en lo mismo. Así que desde ahorita ya intuyo que tendré trabajo para armar la próxima serie.

I wish I had more toys in my possession because the possibilities with them are incredible in the photographic sense. You can't imagine all the things you can do with certain types of toys, a camera and a little bit of imagination and creativity. But well, for the moment I have to be satisfied with these cars and know that every time I take more pictures, the bar also rises, I can't get stuck in the same thing. So from now on I already know that I will have work to do to build the next series.

Es fácil? - si, siempre y cuando tengas diferentes lugares y espacios para hacerlo. Ya que esto te va a permitir poder ampliar la mirada de todo y no estancarte en los mismos encuadres de siempre. Ya veremos que sale próximamente pero por los momentos espero que disfruten estas capturas...

Is it easy? - Yes, as long as you have different places and spaces to do it. This will allow you to broaden your view of everything and not get stuck in the same old frames. We'll see what comes out soon but for the moment I hope you enjoy these captures...
