Hello Splinterlands friends, this week we have a new Battle Mage Secrets challenge in which we will talk in detail about the battle condition Counterspell.

Hola amigos de Splinterlands, esta semana tenemos un nuevo desafío Battle Mage Secrets en el que hablaremos con detalle de la condición de batalla Counterspell

As usual in my posts I will start talking about what this battle condition consists of, then I will give you some tips on how to use it and finally I will share with you all one of my fights with this condition active.

Como es habitual en mis posts empezaré hablando de qué consiste esta condición de batalla para pasar a daros unos consejos sobre el uso que podemos darle y finalmente compartiré con todos vosotros uno de mis combates con esta condición activa.

Empecemos hablando en que consiste la condición Counterspell.

What is the "COUNTERSPELL" condition?

When this condition is active all creatures have the ability Magic Reflect, when a creature receives magic damage, it returns the reduced magic damage to the attacker. The damage received is equal to the attacker's damage divided by 2 and rounded up.

Cuando esta condición está activa todas las criaturas tienen la habilidad Magic Reflect, cuando una criatura recibe daño mágico, devuelve el daño mágico reducido al atacante. El daño recibido es igual al daño del atacante dividido por 2 y redondeando hacia arriba.

How to get advantage

Let's look at some quick tips you can use to improve your strategy under this battle condition:

• As it is logical it is important to use as less as possible creatures with magical attacks, otherwise they will be affected by this condition.
• It is important to use summoners that boost our melee or ranged attacks, reduce the enemy's attacks or better yet a defensive summoner that protects all our creatures with a shield like Kelya Frendul.
• It is important to use cards with a lot of shield since logically our enemy will not use magic attacks and we will be able to use the shield to defend ourselves from melee and ranged attacks.
• Creatures with abilities like Void, Void Armor or Silence should be avoided.
• A good practice is to use creatures with abilities like Demoralize or Headwings since our enemy will use many cards with melee and ranged attacks.
• Even with this battle condition, if we have a creature that has a special and interesting ability we can always use it, we must evaluate each particular case.

Cómo obtener ventaja

Veamos unos rápidos consejos que podéis usar para mejorar vuestra estrategia bajo esta condición de batalla:

• Como es lógico es importante usar lo menos posible criaturas de ataque mágico, sino se verán afectadas por ésta condición.
• Es importante usar invocadores que potencien nuestros ataques cuerpo a cuerpo o a distancia, reduzcan los del enemigo o mejor aún un invocador defensivo que proteja con escudo a todas nuestras criaturas como puedes ser Kelya Frendul.
• Es importante usar cartas con mucho escudo ya que lógicamente nuestro enemigo no usará ataques mágicos y podremos hacer uso del escudo para defendernos de los ataques cuerpo a cuerpo y a distancia.
• Criaturas con habilidades como Void, Void Armor o Silence debemos evitar usarlas.
• Una buena práctica es usar criaturas con habilidades como Demoralize o Headwings ya que nuestro enemigo usará muchas cartas con ataques cuerpo a cuerpo y a distancia.
• Aún con esta condición de batalla, si tenemos una criatura que tenga una habilidad especial e interesante siempre podemos hacer uso de ella, debemos valorar cada caso en particular.

A Battle with "COUNTERSPELL" condition

Mana Cap: 48 # Rules: Melee Mayhem - Counterspell

I have decided to share this combat in which I make use of melee attack cards and in which I also use a magic attack card that although it is not indicated I thought it could help me in my strategy.

Me he decidido por compartir este combate en el que hago un uso de cartas de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo y en el que también utilizo una carta de ataque mágico que aunque no está indicado he pensado que podría ayudarme en mi estrategia.

0		My summoner will be Helios Matriarch as I want to use 2 special cards in my strategy. Mi invocador será Helios Matriarch ya que quiero usar 2 cartas especiales en mi estrategia.
1		My tank is Terraceous Grunt who will be of great help thanks to his Dodge ability. Mi tanque es Terraceous Grunt que será de gran ayuda gracias a su habilidad Dodge.
2		To boost the shield of my creatures I will use Arkemis the Bear. Para potenciar el escudo de mis criaturas usaré a Arkemis the Bear.
3		It is important to have attack power and Thane Newsong will give me that extra damage. Es importante tener poder de ataque y Thane Newsong me va a dar ese daño extra.
4		One of my star cards arrives Dhampir Infiltrator, with double attack and the last position. Llega una de mis cartas estrella Dhampir Infiltrator, con doble ataque y la última posición.
5		My next star card Katrelba Gobson, to continue damaging the enemy's last position with 2 very powerful attacks. Mi siguiente carta estrella Katrelba Gobson, para seguir dañando la última posición del enemigo con 2 ataques muy poderosos.
6		Finally I have decided to use a card with magic attack only because I have the ability Taunt, I want to protect the rest of my creatures. Por último he decidido usar una carta con ataque mágico únicamente por tener la habilidad Taunt, quiero proteger al resto de mis criaturas.

Round 1

I'm surprised to see my opponent using a summoner specialized in countering magic attack strategies and making use of magic attack cards. The fight starts with hard hits from both of us and we both lose our Mycelic Slipspawn although I have the advantage that Katrelba Gobson has activated Bloodlust and becomes more powerful.

Me sorprende ver a mi rival usar a un invocador especializado en contrarrestar estrategias de ataques mágicos y hacer uso de cartas de ataque mágico. Comienza el combate con duros golpes por parte de ambos y los 2 perdemos a nuestros Mycelic Slipspawn aunque yo tengo la ventaja de que Katrelba Gobson ha activado Bloodlust y se vuelve más poderosa.

Round 2

In this second turn I continue my hard hits to the last position of the enemy managing to eliminate Grund although I lose Terraceous Grunt.

En este segundo turno siguen mis duros golpes a la última posición del enemigo consiguiendo eliminar a Grund aunque yo pierdo a Terraceous Grunt.

Round 3

In the third turn Katrelba Gobson manages to destroy Queen Mycelia, activating again Bloodlust.

En el tercer turno Katrelba Gobson consigue destruir a Queen Mycelia con lo que vuelve a activar Bloodlust.

Round 4

In the fourth and final turn, Katrelba Gobson destroys Venari Knifer and Regal Peryton by activating his Bloodlust twice and finally a hit from Arkemis the Bear destroys the only standing enemy creature Mycelic Infantry.

En el cuarto y definitivo turno, Katrelba Gobson destruye a Venari Knifer y Regal Peryton activando por 2 veces su Bloodlust y por último un golpe de Arkemis the Bear destruye a la única criatura del enemigo en pie Mycelic Infantry.

My opinion

Playing under the Counterspell battle condition is relatively simple, trying to avoid the use of magic attack cards and boosting our melee and ranged attacks we can get good results. We must evaluate if it is worth the use of magic attack cards, an example can be Mycelic Slipspawn as the shared combat since its ability can help us to distract the enemy cards long enough.

Jugar bajo la condición de batalla Counterspell es relativamente sencilla, intentando evitar el uso de cartas de ataque mágico y potenciando nuestros ataques cuerpo a cuerpo y a distancia podemos conseguir buenos resultados. Debemos valorar si merece la pena el uso de cartas de ataque mágico, un ejemplo puede ser Mycelic Slipspawn como el combate compartido ya que su habilidad nos puede ayudar a distraer a las cartas enemigo el tiempo suficiente.
