Hello fellow artists, today I want to show you this mural project that I did some time ago.
"Beet heart" as I titled this work, arose through a commission from a ministry of my city, this ministry called Ministry of urban agriculture. The assignment was to capture the idea of agriculture at home, and self-sustainable. From these bases I quickly came to mind a neighbor who has some crops of beets and tomatoes for their own consumption.
This led me to the idea of making a simile of a heart with a beet, since organic forms are part of my plastic work. And the ornamental elements that are present in the ancestral ceramics of my region, these I placed in the background, since for me, the idea of urban agriculture has always been present in our ancestors who were always in this constant work to feed themselves,
This work was done after about 4 days with a lot of patience, since the wall was made of brick and it was difficult to leave everything very well painted, but I was very satisfied with the result, this work is located on Venezuela Avenue with 42nd Street in my city Barquisimeto, it was done in March 2022.
I hope you liked them. I invite you to read my next posts and I'm always happy to answer your questions and comments!
