Happiness is not forced ...

My feelings at Christmas...

Today I want to talk about the nostalgia that many of us feel during these Christmas days and how to deal with that feeling.

Not all of us feel joy these days, nor do we have to feel it, it has to be said. Happiness is not forced.

That said, I'm going with my reflection.

Christmas is not always synonymous with joy. Sometimes it comes loaded with absences, memories and balances that hit us in the soul. What do we do with that nostalgia that insists on settling in these dates? .

Christmas nostalgia is not just a passing melancholy. It is a reminder of everything that was, what could have been and what will no longer be. Absent relatives, unfinished projects, broken relationships. How to handle that emotional combo without wrecking?😔

First, we need to understand something: feeling sadness is not wrong. This myth that “you have to be happy because it's Christmas” only aggravates the emotional weight. Sadness is a legitimate emotion, and accepting it is the first step in processing it.

Uyuyuyyyy....and....

Then there is the issue of balance sheets. The end of the year pushes us to take accounts of our lives. If the balance is not positive, guilt and emptiness creep in. But here's a cathedral-sized truth: At least my (personal) worth isn't measured in annual accomplishments.

At this time of the year, our minds are often full of traps.🤔

It makes us believe that all the time past was better. But that vision, tinged with nostalgia, is not reality. What we miss is not the past, but the version of what I al.it was less then, I think it happens to all of us.

What to do? Start by giving meaning to the losses, without romanticism, or punishment for what is no longer there. Nowadays, when I feel like this, I ask myself, what did I learn from this? How has it shaped me? What can I do with this apprenticeship? Here is the key to rebirth.

Nostalgia is insistent, but not invincible.

Talking about how I feel with someone who can guide you can be the best gift 🎁 to give this season. Because sometimes the best Christmas decoration is a little emotional clarity.

Christmas tastes like home, but... what to do when we lost it? It's time to be strong and get ahead.

Christmas is also a rebirth. Not only of a new year, but of oneself. If you feel the weight of these emotions today, maybe it's time to take a step inward. Explore what you need and find the tools to rebuild yourself

Reflect. Take action. And remember, we don't have to deal with this alone. Talking about what we feel is an act of courage. Nostalgia is not defeated by running away, but by confronting it with the help we need.

And to close this post... ✨If Christmas means birth, what is being born in you while you deal with your shadows?✨Have you ever felt like this? since I started writing daily in this community of reflections I have managed to turn many of these emotions into an engine of change and growth.

Thanks for reading!

Merry Christmas Hive people...

There is a lot of clarity in your words and I agree with you when you point out that

Christmas nostalgia is not just a passing melancholy. It is a reminder of everything that was, what could have been and what will no longer be...

We have to continue with a whole landscape in which we can see some progress, achievements and also voids. And I think perhaps the healthiest thing to do is to put it all on the scale and place ourselves on it, with all our weight on the better side. As long as we breathe there is hope that things will get better.

Gracias, @janitzearratia. Ahí van mis buenos deseos para ti.
