Thrift shopping on a Sunday
Happy Monday, dear Hivers! As mentioned in my previous blog, Im looking for a yellow beach outfit for our upcoming family reunion. So I visited the thrift shops hoping I could score cute items at an affordable price.
This thrift shop is located in Capitol Site, Cebu City and one of the largest and curated shop in the place. The good thing is that every pieces are on hangers so it's not very difficult to move one clothes to another. Plus, the place is air-conditioned too. Although, items are a bit pricey, to compensate with the better curation, I find that their pieces are all durable and of good quality.
So going back, yellow outfits. I still couldn't find any in this place. I was so tempted to splurge on other items, anyway, we have clothing allowance in our company. But then I remember my overflowing cabinet, for sure it will only make my cabinet situation worst.
I used to enjoy thrift shoping alot when I was in college. But now that I'm older, I find the activity tiresome and would rather buy on brand new clothing stores to save my time and energy. The thing with thrift stores is that sometimes, we get to purchase items we really didn't want just because it's cheap and available. So we ended up buying a bunch of unused items in our cabinet.
Anyway, they also have accessories like bags, shoes, and stuffed toys. Have anyone try buying thrifted shoes? I honestly find it unhygienic since there are people who have foot hygiene problems. So I never tried buying thrifted footwear. The bags are beautiful. Some of them are even branded.
Anyway, the search for that yellow outfit is still ongoing. I wasn't able to find it in this thrift shop. Maybe I'll try hopping to another thrift shop tomorrow.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
