Summerchella Experience

Hey beautiful people of hive! The weather here in the Philippines has been in the tropical extreme lately (40-45 degrees celsius). I hope everyone stays hydrated. Last weekend, we had our summer outing themed Cochella at Dusit Thani Mactan. It was a whole day activity filled with lots of games and prizes.


Upon arrival at the resort, we were greeted by the staffs and this huge Dusit Thani Bear in the reception area. I remember the song "I love cebu" playing non stop which we all enjoyed. It was 9:30 am and our rooms are not yet available so we just brought our things in the convention room for the short briefing program and registration.




Before we proceed to our rooms, we were given coupons for lunch and 2 cocktail drinks to beat the summer heat.

Since we only need the rooms to place our things, accommodation is designated per department. We freshen up a bit and headed for the buffet lunch down stairs.



We had lunch at Tradewinds Cafe inside the resort. What makes this place spectacular is the relaxing view of the beach. The food is also commendable as they serve variety of dishes in different cuisines. They also serve tropical fruits such as dragon fruit, mangoes, and pineapple.


After lunch, we were given free time to explore the resort before the main event, Summerchella, at 5pm.




The organizer prepared different activities including bead making, boardgames, binggo, and face paints. My colleagues and i went for the bead making decided to make friendship bracelets.




Since we still had time, we were supposed to go swimming but the weather was too hot so we decided to cancel our plan and prepare for Summerchella instead. Im so happy we achieved the vibe of the party.


They also provided us this cute light stick like we're going to a concert.

During the evening is when all the fun begun. There were performances from bands and drinks served.




I had 3 shots of Tequila and enjoyed the night.
