Shopping Therapy
Back when my previous company was still near Ayala Malls, I often go there after work and just window shop. Now that my current office is situated relatively far from Ayala, i seldom visit the mall.
I recently went for a stroll in Ayala mall to take a breather and try to reach at least 10,000 steps. It was after a very busy day at work and all i want to do is get out of my busy routine and recharge.
The first shop i visited was On Cat. This shop sells fancy accessories like necklaces, earrings, bracelets, hairclips, and handbags.
Nothing much catch my attention so I didn't buy anything from this shop. the second store I visited is Payless. This is the American brand where i purchase most of my shoe wear because their items are sturdy and could last for a long time. I found a cute pair of pink shoes that has a few inch of heels, perfect for office wear. It has been a while since I bought a heels so I bought a pair.
I then headed to Nike and Uniqlo to see if there's anything interesting in their store. I recently just started working out and was looking for gym outfits.
I found a lot of cute outfits here and there but as a frugal gal, I decided to think twice and come back next time if i think the pieces are worth it. In the end, i bought a few shirts and ordered online for the rest of my gym clothes.
I ended my day with some fries and espresso sundae from Burger King. This has been my go to comfort food since college days. their fries are the thickest I've ever had and the espresso sundae tastes like affogato- a perfect way to end my cravings.
Millennials and Gen Z coined the term "I deserve this" for justifying their indulgence and splurges. I'm no exception to that. As a girl, I'm naturally drawn to cute things like accessories, clothes, bags, etc. However, I only spend on things that are necessary and not extravagantly.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
