As a huge fan of the original Netflix series, Squid Game, I was elated to know that the theme of our company-wide summer event is patterned from the series. They just tweak the words and came up with 'Squad Game' instead. This whole day activity is spearheaded by the HR department.

We were divided into 8 teams, representing different colors. I belonged to the Purple team.


Before the games started, snacks were distributed and we also showcased some chants.

Green Light Red Light

Like in the first game in both season 1 and 2, we also tried playing red light, green light.

Just incase your not familiar, it's a game where people can move around when signal is green and freeze when it's red.

The twist of our game is that we have to find a group with the same given category (birth month, favorite color, food, travel destination, and years of service).

This was my favorite game in the series. Finally I get to play one, minus the gun shot of course.

Tug of War

The next game we had was tug of war. As much as I want to join all the games, for this one, I thought that it's best to let the bigger men and women in our team to join, so I skipped this game. I still enjoyed cheering for our team, nevertheless.

Dalgona Challenge

It's my first time to actually see the Dalgona candies in flesh. Each of the contestants will randomly choose the Dalgona candies in tin cans. I was lucky to received one of the easiest shape - the circle.

After finishing the game, we ate just a part of the candy. It's too sweet for my liking.

Childhood games

Lastly, we played some of the famous childhood games such as the hamster roll, tumbang preso, takyan, and human Jack stone.





To have experienced these games, I had so much fun. But I know it isnt the case for the participants in the series because of the pressure and high stake of the game.
