Early Christmas party with good food and loud music
Last weekend, my workmates and I celebrated an early Christmas party at a karaoke place. We reserved a room at Open Mic- exclusive for our intimate gathering.
Like a normal party, it started lightly with some games and a prayer. Prizes for the games include gift certificate from famous brands like Uniqlo, Starbucks, and department store. We also made sure that everyone received a little something like a cap, towel, or socks.
As mentioned in my previous blog, we had Kris Kringle every Wednesday until the Christmas party. Unfortunately, most people are either busy, on leave, or have trainings, so our group collectively decided to postpone the last two Wednesdays worth of Kris Kringle and bring our little something at the Christmas party instead. We have something big and something slimy. I gifted a huge bag of chip and a yogurt, respectively.
Aside from our Kris Kringle, we also brought a gift for our Manito Manita.
For our food, the place catered most of the dishes but we opted to order lechon belly and cake outside. I can not recommend their food packages though, as it doesn't taste delicious, in my opinion.
And of course, a Filipino celebration wouldn't be complete without soft drinks- Coke!
We're all set and it's now time to party! My favorite part was the jamming and sing along with some famous songs of Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Ne-yo, and 2NE1.
After the party proper, when the night grew darker, we had a couple of liquors, both beers and hard drinks (sponsored by our Senior Managers). I also won a couple of raffles that night.
I went home earlier than the rest, probably around 11pm. It was a night filled with so much fun! I'm grateful for the gifts I received and the shared memories with colleagues.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
