A Quick Visit To San Isidro Labrador Church

avatar

It has been a habit of mine to visit a church when my heart feels heavy or anxious. I then light a candle hoping that my prayers will be heard in heaven. Recently, I went to San Isidro Labrador Church in Talamban Cebu City. Its my first time visiting this church and they say that when one visits a new church, one's prayers will be heard. So i prayed for all my heart's desires.

One sunny afternoon, I accompanied my parents with their errands and since the church is nearby, we decided to have a quick visit to end our day. It was a work day so only a few people were inside. The high ceiling design of the church structure also contributed to the calm and relaxing vibe of the place.

Growing up, i'm always interested in going to religious places, especially in the mountainous area where churches are away from the city because it feels as if things around me are made anew. Though, a quick disclaimer, im nowhere near being religious, but i believe in God and I pray every single day. There are moments in my life where i didn't know how i'd survive, literally and figuratively, but i did; or receive little miracles in my day to day life such as green traffic lights on my way to work when im just a few minutes away from being late, having colleagues being kind on a bad day, or by simply being able to finish a difficult task. These experiences are enough for me to continue to believe in God and not be astray.

We took a quick tour inside the vicinity of the church one more and went home.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light

Love, Jane

New church or not, always believe that your prayers will be heard by God. 😊 May San Isidro Labrador pray for your heart's desires. 🫶

I really love the ambiance of the church. It was indeed solemn and it's a good place to pray.
