Today's blog is all about the garland that I have prepared along with my grandmother. We prepared those garlands for the home decor but it's wasn't a easy task at all. As today is Diwali in Indian therefore we are trying our best to decorate our home in everyway possible. Preparing garland and hanging them above the door is one of them.

My apple farm is full of marigolds these days, I plucked some of them to make the garland. Always remember, you should pluck flowers with same size as they will look better together and gives a perfect look. Also if you want the garland to last longer than the flowers you have plucked should be fresh.

Marigold is believed to brought wealth and prosperity to the home that's why we have decided to prepare garland from them also we have plenty of them in our garden.

How much flower is too much flower?

Well it depends how much garland you want to make. We have lots of them as we want to prepare garland for each of our doors at home and also for our vehicle.

My home suddenly filled with lovely fragrance and the environment around suddenly brightened up. I was loving the flowers already, I didn't want to cross the needle between them but as you all know, I have to.

The process

I know the niddle work but not like my grandmother, she is pro in it. So I set down with her and we started our process to make them. Things that are required to make a garland includes -
Needle
Thread
Flowers
And some skills.

Here are some close up pictures, you can see how we are preparing the garland buy passing the thread needle through the middle of the flowers.

There are another ways to make garland too, but the way we have choosen will keep the flowers intact and fresh for longer period of time.

Well it was very satisfying, like meditation.
I loved how soft the flowers were, like a soft silk blanket.

Here you pay attention to every small details, the petals and the flowers, their color, the smell, everything. The process make you fall in love with it, it is so relaxing and calming.

It took us an hour to prepare 6-7 garlands as it's a detailed work, you need to pay attention if you don't want to hurt yourself and want it perfect.

The Result

Here are the garlands we have prepared and we were very satisfied with the results. They turned out as pretty as possible.
Now the time have came to decorate them.

The Decoration

This is how we decorated our home with the garlands, this turned out totally beautiful. These little things being immense joy and happiness and the process itself was quite satisfying.

We even decorated our vehicles with them, it was fun and they looked super cool.
