Adventures In Homesteading (Day 192)

Hello Everyone!

Some off timing, Surprise rain, Damp weather, Slippery terrain & Cramped but cozy!

Alright, I am running behind schedule with my writing routine again... but at least I am here at last to spell out my ponderous (and not-so-ponderous) thoughts. This evening in particular, I could have stuck to my preferred timing... but instead I did anything and everything that I could except that.

The rain moved in in earnest early yesterday evening... and it wound up showering on and off until early this afternoon. Had I been better prepared for it... I could have added to my drinking water supply... but I was caught off guard with the rain... and had not seen its potential in the weather forecast.

Anyways, perhaps with all the cool damp weather some more mushrooms will pop up around the place. I may have missed the prime growing season the last few months... but there is still the chance for cold weather mushrooms to start popping up.

I once again failed to put in any hiking time given the slippery conditions (and my constant procrastinating of it) but the idea to do so bounced around in my head more times than the day before. As far as hunkering down goes I guess that I am on the extreme side of things at the moment... since I spend the bulk of my time indoors... where I am warm and cozy.

In general the camping tent setup has not let me down... and although it has been cramped it has been good having the cooking stove indoors now. I have also noticed that I have a tendency to cook more (now that it is indoors) and of course that means that I am eating more too.

Well, I think that I am going to keep this entry short and sweet. I hope that everyone is doing well. Ta ta for now.
