Do not use this kind of reasoning again

Have you ever heard of the Reasoning " Only God can Judge Me"?

Untitled-1.jpg

This is mostly used by people so that people will not correct their wrongdoings. Yes only God can judge us, but God doesn't mean that people in their right minds and good morals cannot correct us.

Most people will use the verse

Matthew 7: 1-5

“Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged. You’ll receive the same judgment you give. Whatever you deal out will be dealt out to you. Why do you see the splinter that’s in your brother’s or sister’s eye, but don’t notice the log in your own eye? How can you say to your brother or sister, ‘Let me take the splinter out of your eye,’ when there’s a log in your eye? You deceive yourself! First, take the log out of your eye, and then you’ll see clearly to take the splinter out of your brother’s or sister’s eye.

to protect themselves from being corrected. It clearly states in this verse that we will be measured by the judgment we give meaning, if you are an adulterer or someone who always lusts, you don't have the right to correct an adulterer.

If you learned that your brother is a thief and you are not a thief like him, it is only right to correct him. This verse doesn't give sinners protection from being corrected.

The Bible also tells us to correct our brothers in a right way

Matthew 18:15

“If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother.

You don't need to humiliate someone when you honestly want to correct them, because by correcting them in public, you just want to be glorified.

Instead of changing his ways, your brother will just hate you and he will just think that you're just trying to ruin him.

Proverbs 15:32

Those who refuse discipline despise themselves, but those who listen to correction gain understanding.

Don't hate people who are correcting you in private, it only means that this person cares for you. you might misunderstand them now, but later on, you will understand.

Let us not be afraid to tell people, especially those who are close to us if they are making a mistake. Not pointing out their fault is the same as letting them harm themselves.

Nowadays, people are afraid of correcting other people's mistakes because they worry that many people will hate them. especially in this day where cancel culture is very much practiced.

Let us stand against people who are influencing this world to sin. Let us not be afraid, to tell the truth, I am not saying to bash those people online and humiliate them, we don't need to do that. but I think a thumbs down and a simple comment of correction is not bad.

Let us also not be afraid to discipline our children, let us stop creating a future generation where people hate discipline and will just do whatever they like because they think it's okay.

If judgment, discipline, and correction are morally wrong, then why do we still have laws?

We cannot save this world from destruction but at least, let us try to save some souls.

The world certainly needs more discipline in it! A lot of kids are raised with the notion that they won’t get disciplined for something and it’s horrendous. It’s definitely going to lead the world into a lot of problems as they get older and are not accustomed to how the world really works.
