Going to Tuguegarao

Tuguegarao is the capital and only city in the province of Cagayan. The province is mainly agricultural, and the land mass is so huge especially with rice fields, etc. My brother who currently lives in one of the northernmost towns told us that people flock the capital (Metro Manila), and many are complaining about overpopulation when Cagayan has huge vacant lands.

On our 2nd day in Cagayan, we headed to Tuguegarao City, which is around 2-3 hours from my brother's town. For them, that's not quite far, but for us, it is.

This is Pancit Batil Patong, a popular delicacy in Cagayan. It has grown to popularity due to mainstream and social media being featured a number of times. It's loaded and filling.

There goes the bridge from a distance which they also call "Golden Gate".

The weather is fine at that time. But going back home, it rained.
