Crochet frog hat for pets 🐸 [ENG-ESP]

Greetings dear needlecrafters community #NeedleWorkMonday, happy start of the week. Today I brought you a fun project for our pets, a mini hat set for them, this is the first one in the collection. I came up with it because Princess looks so cute with them and because I have seen that it is very fashionable to make hats and caps for our pets, and although I have already made two for her, I want to enlarge her collection. I got new needles (I'll make another post about that 🙈) and I couldn't hold the excitement, and immediately got to work on this project. I'll show you the step by step.

Hoy les he traído un divertido proyecto para nuestras mascotas, un mini set de sombreros para ellos, este es el primero de la colección. Se me ocurrió porque Princesa se ve tan tierna con ellos y porque he visto que está muy de moda hacerle sombreros y gorros a nuestras mascotas y aunque ya le he realizado dos, pero quiero agrandar su colección. Tengo nuevas agujas (haré otro post sobre eso 🙈) y no aguanté la emoción, e inmediatamente puse manos a la obra en este proyecto. Les mostraré el paso a paso.

🐸 MATERIAL USED/MATERIAL USADO 🐸:

• Apple green and white pábilo thread.
• Crochet needle of 2.5 mm.
• Black felt.
• Hypoallergenic filling.
• Liquid silicone.

• Hilo pábilo verde manzana y blanco.
• Aguja para crochet de 2.5 mm.
• Fieltro negro.
• Relleno hipoalergénico.
• Silicona líquida.

🐸 PROCESS/PROCESO 🐸:

I started by making approximately 34 chains, in the second chain we make 3 single crochet stitches. And from there begin the increases, then we make a round of low stitches, the next round is just increases in the corners, and so on until we reach the size of the thickness of the ear of our pet. For the ear hole, we make chain stitches and a single crochet.

Comencé haciendo aproximadamente 34 cadenas, en la segunda cadena se hacen 3 puntos bajos. Y a partir de ahí comienzan los aumentos, luego hacemos una vuelta de puntos bajos, la siguiente vuelta es de solo aumentos en las esquinas, y así sucesivamente hasta llegar al tamaño del grosor de la oreja de nuestra mascota. Para el orificio de la oreja hacemos cadenetas, y un punto bajo.

The next rows will be just single crochet, up to the one that covers the mascot's head. To make the other opening, we make chains and a single crochet.

Las próximas hileras serán solo de puntos bajos, hasta el que cubra la cabeza de la mascota. Para hacer la otra abertura, hacemos cadenas y un punto bajo.

We make a round of decreases in the corners and another round of single crochet, until we reach a single crochet, and then we make approximately 32 chains and cut the yarn.

Hacemos una vuelta de disminuciones en las esquinas y otra vuelta de solo puntos bajos, hasta llegar a solo un punto bajo, y ahí hacemos aproximadamente 32 cadenetas y cortamos la hebra.

To make the eyes, we take the white yarn and knit in a magic ring 8 half double crochet stitches, then, in the next row we knit only increases in each stitch, the next round we knit 1 single crochet and 1 increase, we change to the green yarn and knit in the whole row 2 single crochet and 1 increase.

Para hacer los ojos, tomamos el hilo blanco y realizamos en un anillo mágico 8 medios puntos altos, luego, en la siguiente hilera hacemos solo aumentos en cada punto, la siguiente vuelta haremos 1 punto bajo y 1 aumento, cambiamos al hilo verde y hacemos en toda la hilera 2 puntos bajos y 1 aumento.

For the back of the eye, we take the green thread and repeat everything from the previous step, but without the color change.

Para la parte de atrás del ojo, tomamos el hilo verde y repetimos todo lo del paso anterior, pero sin el cambio de color.

🐸 ASSEMBLY/ENSAMBLAJE 🐸:

We sew the eyes, fill them and finally cut a circle of black felt and glue it with liquid silicone.

Cosemos los ojos, los rellenamos y por último cortamos un círculo de fieltro negro y se lo pegamos con la silicona líquida.

We sew the eyes in the center of the hat.

Cosemos los ojos en el centro del sombrero.

🐸 FINAL RESULTS/RESULTADO FINAL 🐸:

We have to stitch the eyes well so that they remain rigid and the pet can move freely, and the eyes stay in place.

Tenemos que coser bien los ojos para que se mantengan rígidos y que la mascota pueda moverse libremente y los ojos se mantengan en su lugar.

And that's it, that's how the toad hat for my pet named Princess turned out, we gave her a bath recently and when she went out to the garden she got dirty all at once, she is a magnet for leaves, sticks and dirt. She is like a mop, everything sticks to her, and she gets dirty quickly. Princess liked this type of hat better, she felt more comfortable, so much so that she slept with it on. Y listo, así quedó el sombrero de sapo para mi mascota llamada Princesa, la bañamos hace poco y al salir al jardín de una vez se ensució, ella es un imán para las hojas, los palitos y la tierra. Ella es como un coleto, todo se le pega y se ensucia rápidamente. Este tipo de sombrero le gustó más a Princesa, se sintió más cómoda, tanto que se puso a dormir con el puesto.
