In the past few weeks a big news has hit the world of Splinterlands! The new Soulbound cards have arrived, cards that bring total innovation to the game and breathe new life into one of Hive's and the community's favourite play-to-earn games!

The Soulbands cards consist of a set of no less than 43 cards and are all Reward Cards classified as Chaos Legion card expansions. Being Reward cards, they can be found either in the Loot Chests of daily quests or in the end-of-season rewards.

Having already found many Summoners from this new set of cards, I couldn't help but try them out directly on the battlefield. One of the great novelties for us Splinterlands players is that the Soulband Summoners allow us to summon a Gladiator card that we receive through the purchase of packs from points gained in Brawls. In my opinion, this is a real revolution for Splinterlands because in addition to having a new set of cards (which cannot be sold on the market for the time being) they offer us the possibility of a new use case: the use of Gladiator cards in normal seasonal battles, which we would otherwise not have been able to use (being relegated to Brawls only).

Lobb Lowland

Lobb Lowland has a mana cost of 6 points and has two abilities:

1. reduces opponents' speed by one point.

2. Conscript: allows you to summon one more Gladiator card than normal. If it is chosen in a game for Brawls, therefore, the Gladiator cards allowed on the field will become two. Should it be fielded in a normal ranked game, you may field one Gladiator card.

My strategy

Let us now see what my strategy was for this match, what strategy allowed me to make these choices for the fielding of cards and what motivations led me to think I could win.

My strategy is actually quite clear: by using Lobb Lowland I am allowed to field a Gladiator monster. My choice fell on one of the, in my opinion, strongest monsters that Gladiator cards could present: Quora Towershead.

Quora has two attacks: both Meele Attack and Magic Attack. In addition, she has two abilities: Bloodlust (typical of Gladiator cards) and can regenerate her health points every turn.

I chose to use her as a tank to take advantage of both her attacks every turn.

In second position I fielded Kron The Undying who also regenerates his health points every round.

In third position I deployed Mycelic Morphoid and in fourth and final position I deployed Chaos Agent.

The strategy is clear: use Quora and Kron and inflict as much damage on the opponent as possible. Trying to maximise Quora's Bloodlust ability.

In conclusion I think this new Chaos Legion card set ( Soulbound set) gives a new lease of life to all Splinterlands players. In my opinion it is a great innovation in game systems and a breath of fresh air to create and study new strategies and combinations. Using the new Soulbound cards is a lot of fun for me and every chance I get I deploy a few to try them out.

Ultimately my thoughts on the new Summoners are very positive because they offer new game experiences that we could never have tested before.

Lobb Lowland is definitely broken in the sense that he is really strong and offers some really interesting possibilities.

Nelle scorse settimane una grossa novità ha investito il mondo di Splinterlands! Sono arrivate le nuove carte Soulbound, delle carte che portano al gioco delle innovazioni totali e che danno nuova linfa a uno dei giochi play to earn più amati della Blockchain di Hive e dalla community!

Le carte Soulbands sono composte da un set di ben 43 carte e sono tutte Reward Card classificate come espansione delle carte Chaos Legion. Essendo Reward cards possono essere trovate sia nelle Loot Chest delle missioni giornaliere, sia nelle ricompense di fine stagione.

Avendo trovato già molti Summoners di questo nuovo set di carte non ho potuto fare a meno di provarli direttamente sul campo di battaglia. Una delle grandi novità per noi giocatori di Splinterlands consiste nel fatto che i Summoners Soulband permettono di evocare una carta Gladiator che riceviamo attraverso l'acquisto di pacchi derivanti dai punti conquistati nelle Brawls. Secondo me è una vera e propria rivoluzione per Splinterlands perchè oltre ad avere un nuovo set di carte ( che per ora non possono essere vendute sul mercato) ci offrono la possibilità di un nuovo caso d'uso: per l'appunto l'utilizzo delle carte Gladiator nelle normali battaglie stagionali, che altrimenti non avremmo potuto utilizzare ( essendo relegate soltanto alle Brawls).

Lobb Lowland

Lobb Lowland ha un costo in mana di 6 punti e ha ben due abilità:

1. riduce la velocità degli avversari di un punto.

2. Conscript: permette di evocare una carta Gladiator in più rispetto al normale. Nel caso in cui venisse scelto in una partita per le Brawls, dunque, le carte Gladiator permesse in campo diventerebbero due. Nel caso in cui lo si schierasse in una partita normale ranked, si può schierare una carta Gladiator.

La mia strategia

Passiamo a vedere ora quale è stata la mia strategia per questo match, quale strategia mi ha permesso di fare queste scelte per lo schieramento in campo delle carte e quali motivazioni mi hanno portato a pensare di poter vincere.

In effetti la mia strategia è abbastanza chiara: usando Lobb Lowland ho il permesso di schierare un mostro Gladiator. La mia scelta è ricaduta su uno dei mostri, secondo me, più forte che le carte Gladiator potessero presentare: Quora Towershead.

Quora ha ben due attacchi: sia Meele Attack che Magic Attack. In più ha due abilità: Bloodlust ( tipica delle Gladiators card) e può rigenerare i suoi punti salute ogni turno.

Ho scelto di utilizzarla come tank per sfruttare entrambi i suoi attacchi ogni turno.

In seconda posizione ho schierato Kron The Undying che anch'esso rigenera i suoi punti salute ad ogni round.

In terza posizione ho schierato Mycelic Morphoid e in quarta ed ultima posizione ho schierato Chaos Agent.

La strategia è chiara: usare Quora e Kron ed infliggere quanto più danno possibile all'avversario. Cercando di massimizzare l'abilità Bloodlust di Quora.

In conclusione penso che questo nuove set delle carte Chaos Legion ( Soulbound set) dia una nuova linfa a tutti i players di Splinterlands. Secondo me è una grande innovazione nei sistemi di gioco e una ventata d'aria fresca per creare e studiare nuove strategie e nuove combinazioni. Usare le nuove carte Soulbound per me è molto divertente ed ogni volta che ne ho la possibilità ne schiero qualcuna per provarla.

In definitiva il mio pensiero sui nuovi Summoners è molto positivo perchè offrono nuove esperienze di gioco che mai avremmo potuto testare prima.

Lobb Lowland è sicuramente rotto, nel senso che è davvero forte e offre delle possibilità davvero interessanti.
