My thoughts on taking loans may differ from others, I believe that a loan is a curse that devours the happiness in our lives.

I’m not saying this lightly; it comes from certain experiences in my life that have opened up new learning opportunities for me. Whether it’s taking a loan or giving one, I’m against both. I also understand that there are moments in life when either giving or taking a loan becomes necessary.

These are the situations in life when we expand our needs, and fulfilling those necessities or desires becomes a compulsion, leading us to take out loans. But instead of giving us happiness from fulfilling that desire, the loan burdens us with worry and sorrow. The stress of repaying it constantly hangs over us.

I, too, have taken loans in my life, but I make every possible effort to repay them as quickly as I can. There are two loans in my life that, despite wanting to, I haven’t been able to pay off yet. One of these loans has been pending for three years, and the other just for a few months, and the thought of repaying them constantly weighs on my mind.

As for giving loans, I’m not in favor of that either, and the reason is that, often, despite our best intentions, we’re unable to repay a loan, which brings us stress and can harm our relationship with the person involved. I don’t mind giving someone a loan, but I believe it should be done in an organized way. The person taking the loan should honor their commitment and repay it by the agreed date. This way, trust remains intact; otherwise, issues will arise.

I've told my friends that if they need to borrow something from me, they’re welcome to, but they should give me a fixed date for when they’ll return it. This way, they’ll honor their commitment, and it will also boost the trust level between us.

My prayer is that those who read this post never need a loan in their lives and may they have abundant blessings in their lives.
