Given the lifestyle we've adopted these days, staying fit has become more of a dream. To fulfil this dream, we inevitably join a gym at some point in our lives or, at the very least, start exercising at home.

When working out at the gym or at home, we often believe that it’s enough for us to lose weight and get back into shape just by doing this. We don't pay attention to anything else. We keep exercising daily, and initially, we see results because of our excess fat, but after a few days, the progress stops, and no matter how much we exercise, our weight doesn’t decrease.

The most important aspect of losing weight or staying fit is our diet, yet we often overlook this. On the other hand, if we focus only on our diet and don’t exercise, that formula won’t work either.

Let me tell you about myself; this was before I got married. I joined a gym, and I had a friend who used to go with me. In the beginning, I lost weight very quickly—around 5-6 kg in just a few days. But after that, no matter how much I exercised, my weight stayed the same. It felt like someone had pressed a pause button on my weight loss. I tried hard, but the weight wouldn’t go down. Then, when I talked to my instructor and explained the whole situation, the first thing he asked me about was my diet.

When I told him about my eating habits, he paused for a moment, then scolded me, grabbed a pen and paper, and started writing something down. A little later, he handed me a sheet of paper and said, "This is my diet plan, and you have to follow it no matter what. If you can’t follow it, there’s no point in coming to the gym." That was enough of a warning for me. I followed the plan diligently for three months and lost a significant amount of weight. By the time of my wedding, I was very active and fit.

This shows that diet and exercise are equally important if you want to lose weight or stay in shape.

Hmm. Both are equally important and that's why I think both exercise and diet food are companions of each other. I think most people fail when it comes to maintaining proper diet food.
