Family Weekend - Weekend-Engagement #221
Hello, weekenders!
Did you get a good start this Friday? I would love to say I did, but I don't.
Let's try to explain this drawing.
As some of you may know, Venezuela is kind of a chaos now, politically speaking.
So, what happened to us, Venezuelans, this Friday? Well, at 4 am, there was a national blackout. 20 of the states of Venezuela did not have electricity.
Right now, I'm in the capital, and I'm grateful here is not so hot like in my hometown. Since I woke up at 9:30 am the electricity wasn't restored yet, and unfortunately, I didn't charge my phone last night, so in the morning I was only with 30% battery.
My sister and I didn't know what to do, because to top it all, they had cut the water supply for 48 hours. We had to buy some empanadas for breakfast because we didn't want to get dirty dishes, and we made a simple lunch.
Most of the day, my sister spent the time in my bed sleeping, while I used my phone's low battery to read a digital book. It rained in the afternoon and when my phone battery was just about 14%, the electrical service was restored.
We didn't do much, just sleeping, talking, and reading. There wasn't much to do, either. It wasn't a good start for the weekend.
But let me add some more. When I could use my phone again, and I enter the news, it was hilarious. The government doesn't know what else to say to cover their failures.
I knew they will look for someone to blame, and that would be Maria Corina Machado, The Leader of the Opposition. Maduro in his insanity mind doesn't take responsibility for the failures of the electrical system here in Venezuela that's been failing for years. Instead, he always said that this is due to a terrorism attack, a sabotage from the opposition.
And that's all, guys. Hope you're doing better.
See you later.
