Being Early - Weekend-Engagement #216
Hi, friends! Are you ready for another weekend? Surely, I am. Mostly because tomorrow I'm going to the movies with my sister to watch Deadpool 3. 🥰💖
But let's get to our business here. Let's answer to @galenkp's topic.
Are you usually late or early? What does punctuality mean to you, and how do you feel people perceive it and respond to it? Explain with examples.
In my perspective, I am an early person. I like to be on time whenever I have a doctor's appointment or date or a job interview. I struggle with lateness, and although I know there are people who find it difficult to be on time in a place, I would prefer people who appreciate punctuality.
What does it mean punctuality to me?
Well, for me, punctuality is a symbol of respect; respect for the people who are waiting, and respect for yourself. There are many factors that can make a person late, but if you know how to manage time, I think it's possible to be early in wherever the place you are needed.
If I have to be in a place at 8:30 am, I usually get up at 6 o'clock. Calculating the place is far or near, I got up a bit earlier.
That would be enough time to do all the things I needed to do to get out of the house and be a few minutes earlier. That applies to any date or appointment I'd have. I know if I have a job interview, I MUST be early. The same if I have a doctor's appointment.
However, if I go to a friends house or we're to meet in another place, then I might be just a few minutes late, but that doesn't happen often, since I like to be early. Most of the time, I am the waiter and not the person to be waiting for.
I think being early is respectful. It shows good manners. People appreciate it when I'm early, and their friendly response is the nice way to show it to me.
