A Mom who Struggled to Exercise
Hi, Hive friends and Motherhood community!
I just want to write this experience as a mom who struggled to exercise.
I was 48 kg when I was young, single, and childless. My first pregnancy weight was 55 kg. I dropped so much weight at 40 kg after I gave birth to my son. I had trauma. I had skinny legs and a thigh gap. I had difficulty carrying my baby at 3.7 kg. I was a dead vegetable I could not carry my weight going to the toilet. I had trauma with my first CS birth and I felt like I was punished in hell alive.
I had to eat a lot so that I could gain weight and at the same time, I could breastfeed my son. I was lucky to have overflowing breast milk. My son gained so much weight and so am I.
I gained 50, 51, and 52 kg until I found out I was pregnant again when my son was 10 months old. My pregnancy weight was 55 kg. The birth of my second baby was easier compared to my first. She was 2.7 kg. I was 53 kg after giving birth. I had no problem breastfeeding my second baby. Everything was good.
Of course, I became insecure with my body. I gained so much weight, I still looked like pregnant. My old clothes won't fit me anymore and I had difficulty shopping for clothes. I hate to shop it is not my thing.
Kids were clingy when I exercise
This was in 2022 when my kids were one and two years old. It was summer so it wasn't that cold to wear a sports bra and pants.
The struggle was real. My daughter came to me for breastfeeding and my son came to me to sleep in my legs. I hid my boobs with a towel for this photo. What a funny and precious sight to see.
My daughter was well-fed and happy to leave me. My son fell asleep. I still show this photo to my son and he still loves to sleep beside me when he gets the chance.
I put him to bed and after this, my daughter asked for milk from me. It was exhausting as I get tired easily. There was a time when I was inconsistent with my exercise because the kids needed more attention.
My weight really fluctuated until this year. I even reached 58.2 kg last October 2024 which was kind of alarming. I've been eating a lot in the past few years.
I am writing this as an introduction to my weight loss transformation that I might publish in the next few or several days.
I know I wasn't perfect but at least I tried to move.
I am happy I found these photos of how I looked in 2022 when I tried to exercise.
I was 54 before getting pregnant, and peak was 69 🤣.
Now, I weigh 60kgs. I stopped eating a lot since I no longer breastfeed. So was hoping to lose some fats 🤣.
It wasn't healthy for me
Oh, mukhang madali na lang sayo mag lose weight. Malapit lang naman 60 kg going down to 54 kg. Nahihirapan nga ako ngayon from 58.2 going down to 48 kg. hahaha kaya 50 kg muna target ko kaloka.
Hindi ako madali maglose weight, kaso nastress lng ako.
Naalala mo dati diba? .
Now di na ako nakain after six pm. 🤣
Look at that cutie patootie haha. They are really super clingy, but its cute pero for sure nakakaubos nang pasensya minsan ano, uwu. Anyways, its hard to lose weight ha, lalo if masarap lagi ang pagkain sa lamesa. So good luck malala sa workout journey no. Uwu. Balik alindog na wari
Nung maliit pa sila di naman nakakaubos ng pasensya. Ngayon lang na super makulit na, mama, mama, mama. hahaha.
