Do you have a soul?
Is a soul just a mere construct of a human languages,what exactly is a soul?does soul exist?is the soul immortal?.
Am going to discuss about it.

THE SOUL:
The soul is one big strong controversial topic.
Powerful scientists, philosophers have done a lot of work on the issue of the soul.

Webster dictionary defines the soul as the spiritual part of a person that is believed to give life to the body and is believed to live forever;a person's deeply felt mortal and emotion nature,the seat of emotions.

While some defines it as the spiritual or immaterial part of a human being or animal regarded as immortal, emotional or intellectual energy or intensity especially to reveal the work of art.

These are the similarities between the definitions.
These definition agrees that the soul is mostly not coporeal or physical,it is immaterial it isn't something we can see or touch,the definition has something to do with our morals, emotions, thought etc.

Is the soul actually immaterial?is it immortal,ever living?
Let's look at the etymology of the word "soul" the English word soul is derived from old English"sawol""sawel"meaning"immortal principle in man" now there is no fixed or agreed definition of the soul.
But in my own way of definition"it is the seat of our body,our intelligence,the house of our emotions,the store of our memories and the factory of our thoughts" this is what I believe the soul to be.

The body is distinct from the soul!our body is merely a container a fleshly receptacle to our consciousness, without the soul the body becomes a mere dormant meat incapable of any activity.

Difference between the soul and spirit?
I take the trichotomous view I.e that the spirit is the animos of man.it is the breath,the driving force behind life.

The soul and the death?
At death the soul leaves the body.the soul and the spirit leaves the body(corpse) becomes devoid of emotions, thought, intelligence or memories due to the absence of the soul.the body also lacks life and animation due to the absence of the spirit.

The soul is immortal,some believes that the soul and spirit evolves,the believe it's grows like a kind of reincarnation.After the human death the next transition of the soul is to God.I find this theory dubious.I believe the soul and spirit is relatively immortal.
