Ignoring peer pressure and taking big risks are both key to success

At all times, when I feel as though I am missing out on something out there, then I decide to step out and see for myself, I often returned with the realization that there's really nothing out there. What we have for now, especially within my peer group are people who are running faster than their shadows. People who have no real foundation but keep flicking around as though they do. These people are mostly chasing what's not chasing them. They tend to live their lives trying to impress people they barely have a care in the world about.

Peer pressure has been something we learned closely as teenagers. At that point, it was mostly about indulging in illicit activities common to adolescence and youth. Those influences like picking a stick of cigarettes even when the pack clearly says, smokers are liable to die young.

But today, peer pressure has gone beyond just smoking and sneaking out to parties for us. We are now living in a society where youths indulge in bigger and more well-formatted ways of pressuring the next individual. We are seeing this in the rise of Yahoo and prostitution.

So as a lady, I see ladies of my age living their best lives as they would claim on social media. Flaunting the latest outfits, bags, and hair. Things that are clearly not affordable at their age but because they are in a relationship with guys who rob other people to please them, they seem to have arrived.

Other ladies of my age who may not have the fortitude to withstand the pressure might run off and want some of that life. What they might not be seeing are the hidden details that are mostly not seen in the material possessions displayed on social media. The details such as the guy in question being toxic, a woman beater, or overall offering them up as sacrifices when the pressure to make more of such money comes into play.

The rise of internet fraud has made it seem as though the road to financial freedom is wide and easy. It has made a hard-working young man or lady look stupid in the face of fast gains and money.

But if one can move past all of the camouflage that society has built around building wealth and sustaining one, they will be able to make better use of their time and money.

Once you ignore all of the social media flauntings and realize that those paths are not dynamic in any way to wealth building, then, you are somewhat close to learning the fortitude that comes with having tenacity, determination, and a desire to make the best of your time and your pursuit of wealth and happiness.

By ignoring those things and working carefully towards building the future of your dreams, steadily, and with as much courage and determination as you can muster, you will be unlocking potential doors that lead to success.

Moving past all the waves and noise of peer pressure and taking calculated risks for your future will serve you better. Taking calculated risks might come in terms of delaying instant gratification and building your future. Removing your concentration from the unhealthy ways your friends are using their money and pursuing a sustainable means of wealth building.

Your friends might live in the moment when it comes to how they deal with their finances, and might not even want to take any risks for the sake of their future. You can bypass them and do the right thing. By reminding yourself that it's better to pay now and play later than to play now and pay later, you will be able to adjust and adapt to the forms of building wealth with a long-term outlook.

The illusion that social media make made things worse; changes the perception of teenagers, and I think it amplifies the pressure to go along with the current trend.

This is why I decided to minimize my social media consumption and focus on other things. I agree, by investing and nurturing and sacrificing some things a bit for myself, I will gain benefits in the long term.

That's true and I am glad you agree.

Social media gives us the illusion that everything is fast gains. And the pressure to indulge in illicit activities just to catch up with our friends is more.

I am glad you have reduced your social media consumptions and that you are working towards gaining a better future for yourself.

Thank you so much for visiting. All the best to you my friend. ❣️

We number of yahoo boy in Nigeria is alarming. In Lagos it's even more crazy. I remember one of my exes, she left because I didn't have money, she was into big living and dated yahoo boys prior to me. These girls can endure abuse because of the money they're getting and that's because they're pressured into having to create an impression that they're not suffering or struggling.

Hello, Jose.

The rate is alarming seriously. 🥺

And they are putting pressure on those who are hustling legitimately. Especially with their girlfriends leaving them to the next Yahoo boy.

It's true those girls take any form of abuse as long as they get the money to display their high class lifestyles 💔

The terrible part is that here in Lagos, almost every young person is seeing as a yahoo boy because the rate of these yahoo boys are just increasing daily.

Lol. Everyone knows their dress code 🤷

Except those who have taken it to the next level. Hiding behind physical businesses to run their maps.
