How are you today ? I am sure, all friends at Cinnamon Cup Coffee Community are always healthy and happy in living every moment of our lives. Every day, there are always interesting stories from members in this community. Friends always contribute by sharing stories about their coffee drinking experiences at home, stories about coffee and life and also stories when visiting a new coffee shop. In addition, every week there is always a #spillthebeans contest with various interesting topics and can stimulate the writing creativity of the members in this community.

This time, I want to participate in this community again, by sharing my interesting stories and experiences when visiting coffee shops. I call myself The Coffee Shop Explorer, and I'm trying to share stories about the various coffee shops I visit every week. A few days ago, I accidentally found a new coffee shop located not far from my house, namely Baryan's Coffee Shop.

Baryan's Coffee Shop

Baryan's Coffee Shop is a new coffee shop that is starting to try its luck in this business. I found out about this coffee shop from my friend's Instagram feed and I saw its location in Pancur Batu District which is still in the same district as where I live. This coffee shop is located at Namo Pecawir Street Pancur Batu District - North Sumatra, it's a bit difficult to find this coffee shop on maps but just write "Baryan's" to get the exact location point.

The location of this coffee shop is not far from where I live, about 10 minutes by motorbike and makes me comfortable to visit it at any time. I came to the coffee shop at night. From the front of this coffee shop, we can already see the industrial coffee shop design style that is currently popular. For Information, Baryan's is an abbreviation of the names of the two owners of this coffee shop, Barry and Ryan. These two friends are final year students who are local residents around Namo Pecawir Street.

The front of the coffee shop is like a small garden with a pebble floor. For furniture, this coffee shop uses tables and chairs made of iron and pallet wood. Pallet wood is often used as a material for making tables and chairs for cafes and coffee shops because of its cheaper price and strong quality. The creativity of furniture craftsmen will determine and make a table made of pallet wood look better and aesthetically pleasing.

This coffee shop does not have an indoor room or a full ac room. The inside of the coffee shop is also a building with half-open wall space. This coffee shop also uses a high roof design so that air circulation flows well. We will not feel the heat and also protect us from the rain. To emphasize the industrial impression of this coffee shop, Baryan's Coffee Shop uses only the natural colors of the cement walls and also combines them with lighting.

Coffee Shop Menu and Ordering System
Baryan's Coffee Shop still uses the conventional system. The visitors can sit first, then the waiter will come to give the menu list and take the order. We'll pay when we're done with this coffee shop. We can still find an ordering system like this in some local coffee shops in my city.

This coffee shop has several coffee menus such as espresso, americano, sanger coffee, latte, palm sugar latte, etc. For non-coffee menus, chocolate, taro, red velvet, matcha and tea are also available. In addition, there are several snack menus such as french fries, nuggets, or toast. For the price, all menus are priced at affordable prices and cheaper than the coffee shop menu prices in Medan City. I ordered a cup of hot sanger espresso to accompany my evening visit at this coffee shop.

Sanger Espresso

My order came a bit long even though the condition of the coffee shop when I arrived was not too crowded. I still think positively if the employees are not used to a fast and straightforward work climate. My order was served in a small blue ceramic cup. I like the design of this cup, I think it is very suitable for drinks that have a special taste such as espresso.

Sanger Espresso is a signature coffee menu that you can only find in Indonesia. Sanger is a term for milk coffee that is often used in Aceh Coffee Shops and has become a popular term used by many coffee shops in Indonesia. Sanger Espresso is a cup of coffee consisting of espresso and a little sweetened condensed milk.

A cup of Sanger Espresso from Baryan's Coffee Shop has the right coffee taste for me. The espresso still tasted and the sweetened condensed milk was just the right amount so the coffee wasn't too sweet. This coffee seems very fitting to accompany my night to write. A little bitter taste of coffee helps me to find inspiration.

As the night progresses, the coffee shop gets busier with visitors. Young people around this area come to hang out with friends. Several adults (husband and wife) also came to spend the night. I think, Baryan's Coffee Shop answers the challenge of coffee shop needs with the taste and atmosphere needed by people around Pancur Batu district.
