Soundtrack #1 - Recommended Korean Dramas For Weekends
Hello everyone and all members of CineTV Community, how are you today? I hope that all of us are always given health and happiness in living this life. I also want to wish everyone a happy weekend. Weekends are always awaited by everyone in this world, we can rest, chat with family or do our hobbies. If you still don't have anything to do this weekend, watching a drama might be a relaxing and fun activity.
In today's digital era, we have many choices of options to find cool and quality dramas. We don't need songs, we have to watch television broadcasts and wait for the drama to air. We are also not afraid if we miss hours of showing dramas because the internet makes it easier to load them. Currently, various streaming services make it easy for us to find quality dramas with low subscription fees. We can choose various dramas and movies from all over the world such as western dramas, Korean dramas, Japanese dramas etc. This time, I want to recommend one Korean drama for this short weekend.
I want to give you a recommendation for a Korean drama entitled Soundtrack #1 that you can watch on the Disney Hotstar streaming service. So, what is the reason I recommend this Korean drama to friends?
Synopsis
Lee Eun-soo (played by Han So-hee), a song lyricist who is cheerful, intelligent and always honest about his thoughts, gets into an obstacle at work. He was given the task of writing lyrics for a song about a broken heart, but according to the producer, the song "broken heart" lacks a "broken heart feeling".
Lee Eun-soo has a close friend for the past 20 years, namely Han Sun-woo (Park Hyung-sik) a photographer who is on the rise and has been in love for a long time but doesn't dare to reveal it for fear of losing friendships. Lee Eun-soo asked Han Sun-woo what "heartbreak ?" and asked Han Sun-woo to stay at his house for two weeks to help write the lyrics, before sending Han Sun-woo out of the country to take pictures. Two weeks living in the same house made these two friends learn the true meaning of life.
Simple Premise Drama
When choosing to watch a drama or movie on the weekend, many people think and choose a drama with a premise and story that is simple and understandable. Dramas about romance and comedy are often chosen to be enjoyed on weekends. Soundtrack #1 is a love drama with a simple premise and storyline but we can enjoy. This drama is very entertaining if you are the type of person who likes stories about friends becoming love.
There are dozens of dramas and movies that often use the premise of "friendzone", a condition in which a woman and a man are trapped as friends but love each other but do not dare to step into dating status for fear. Of course we often hear the expression, if a man can't be friends with a woman. I've also heard the saying, a woman can be friends with a man when he doesn't have any feelings for the man while a man can only be friends with a woman when he has feelings for her. So, if you like the premise of "friendzone" love, it doesn't hurt to watch this drama.
Short episode
Soundtrack #1 has only four episodes. Usually, Korean dramas have episodes of around 16 – 20 episodes so if we want to finish on the weekend, maybe we won't have enough time. Moreover, if each drama has a duration of more than 60 minutes. Soundtrack #1 is only four episodes long and is 50-60 minutes long. Maybe, if you watch it after lunch, you can finish it before dinner. This Korean drama does have a few episodes. However, if the image quality of each scene and the details are very pleasant to watch.

One of the strong reasons people want to watch Korean dramas or other dramas is because of the actors and actresses who star in the drama. I'm sure many people, especially fanatical fans of an actress or actor who don't really care about the story of the drama but enjoy the acting and appearance of their favorite actress.
Soundtrack #1 stars a handsome male lead, namely Park Hyung-sik who is famous for being the male lead in popular Korean dramas Happiness (2021) and Strong Girl Bong-soon (2017). The female lead is played by Han So-hee who is also the female lead in the highest-rated Korean drama of all time, The World of Married (2020) and thriller and action drama, My Name (2021).
Fyi, Soundtrack #1 is probably one of the best dramas to see the visual beauty of Han So-hee. Because in this drama she plays a normal woman who is beautiful and charming. I like the acting, because Han So-hee is very totalistic. When in The World of Married she played a beautiful mistress and made people, especially women, annoyed by it. Han So Hee in My Name is more different because she is an action actress and does some really cool action scenes.
In addition to the two main characters, the supporting actors and cameos of this drama are also quality actors. I don't want to write down their names one by one, but if you often watch Korean dramas, I'm sure you'll recognize them.
