Kampung Kecil – A New Viral Family Restaurant in My City

In the current era of social media, information and communication is getting easier and faster. Nowadays, we can easily find out where a place is busy and viral from our social media links. Like the restaurant I visited some time ago, namely Kampung Kecil, which is currently viral. I find lots of people or friends who have visited this restaurant. I too, also want to come there.

Kampung Kecil is a very spacious family restaurant with traditional interior and exterior designs. Funny story, this is my second visit to Kampung Kecil Restaurant. My first visit to this restaurant was a failure because it was so crowded that I had a hard time finding an empty table and had to wait for a long time. I had no patience and ended up leaving and plan to come again sometime. The second visit, I try to come earlier or when the restaurant just opened.

Apart from being a unique and traditional restaurant. Kampung Kecil also provides a complete food menu at very affordable prices. Menu options available from the menu such as chicken, duck, fish, meat, shellfish, shrimp and squid with various cooking methods and very delicious processed spices.

One interesting thing, the price of Kampung Kecil Restaurant's menu is also very affordable for most Indonesians. The choice of food and beverage menu from Kampung Kecil is bundled with low prices and we can choose according to our budget.

After looking at several food and drink menus, we ordered two food menus, namely the rice package with fried chicken and the rice package with fried duck. How's the taste of the food?

Rice Package with Kremes Fried Chicken

Now, I will discuss the food menu that I ordered, namely the complete rice package with Indonesian fried chicken. This food order is served in a traditional style. The rice is served in a basket of woven bamboo with a banana leaf as a base. The way of serving rice with banana leaves makes the rice from this restaurant more fragrant and also delicious.

In addition, this food menu package is also equipped with a vegetable called "karedok". Karedok consists of several fresh vegetables such as bean sprouts, long beans, and lettuce served with peanut sauce. The taste is also very delicious and goes very well with rice.

Let's take a look at our main menu, namely Kremes Fried Chicken. Indonesian fried chicken is very different from European or American style fried chicken. Usually, fried chicken from outside uses flour coating to make it crispy fried chicken. Meanwhile, Indonesian fried chicken uses two cooking techniques. Chicken meat will be covered with spices so that the chicken meat will get a strong and authentic taste. In addition, the chicken meat will be more tender and juicy. After that, the chicken will be fried first before being served to the customer.

This fried chicken is served with a sprinkling of crunchy and tasty spices. Apart from that, we will also get a portion of very spicy and delicious sambal. The chicken meat served hot whets our appetite, moreover the chicken dipped in chili sauce makes us even more appetizing.

Package of Rice with Traditional Fried Duck

The second menu we tried at this restaurant is fried duck with rice packets. Just like the first menu, a rice package with Indonesian-style fried duck. This food package is also equipped with tamarind vegetables, a typical Indonesian vegetable that has a savory, sour and fresh taste.

For the fried duck, the fried duck meat is very tender and juicy. The duck meat has a strong taste and we can add hot chili sauce to increase our appetite.

I salute the way this restaurant makes this duck meat tender and tasty. As a scholar of animal husbandry, I really understand the characteristics of tough and a lot duck meat. Duck meat must get proper treatment and cutting to get the characteristics of tender duck meat. In addition, how to cook it must also be with the right technique. I once had fried duck with a lot of meat character and it was very annoying.
