Hello Gardeners
How are you today ? I hope and pray, we are all always given health and also happiness in living this life. I am also very happy, given the time and opportunity to share my stories and experiences about my activities in my hydroponic garden in HiveGarden Community. What activities did I do this time? continue to see my story this time.

Conditions of My Hydroponic Garden This Week

IMG_3104.jpeg
Before looking at the condition of my hydroponic garden, I apologize for nearly five days of inactivity in hives. This week was pretty busy for me, I had a lot of work to do. This week, I also do work to make hydroponic installation orders. I got an order for a custom hydroponic installation like the photo I uploaded above.

The process of making and working on this hydroponic installation takes about 3 days. The unique fact is that this hydroponic installation was ordered by a 14 year old teenager who is very interested in hydroponic farming, home steading and gardening. I really salute it, because many teenagers spend their time playing online games but this little brother is actually doing the gardening process.

This week, my hydroponic garden looks empty, because I have harvested all the vegetables this week. Harvesting vegetables is one of my activities this week. I get optimal yields in this planting period. For pakcoy, I get around 15 kilograms of yield and for kangkong, I get around 12 kilograms of yield.

After the harvest process, it's time for us to start the planting process again. As you know, the process of sowing seeds is one of the most troublesome processes and requires high concentration. Sowing seeds must be done carefully, we must choose the right planting medium and also choose quality seeds to get better planting results.

Condition of Pakcoy in My Hydroponic Garden

If friends pay attention, I have harvested all the pakcoy that I planted. I only have about 30 more packoy pots for us to consume ourselves. After that, I cleaned all the planting media that I used, such as netpots, Styrofoam boxes and flannel cloth. This cleaning process also takes time and effort, but I do it more leisurely.

After harvesting, I started sowing the pakcoy seeds. During this planting period, I made about 600 pakcoy seeds for me to plant in my hydroponic garden. Unfortunately, my plan didn't go well. The Pakcoy that I sowed did not produce the seeds that I expected.

Pakcoy seeds grow non-uniformly and only about 50% grow well. I feel, this is because I use seeds that are almost expired and polluted. Because of that, I sowed the pakcoy seeds again to get quality seeds ready for replanting.

Apart from that, I also transferred the Pakcoy seedlings to my hydroponic growing medium. I have moved about 200 pots of pakcoy seedlings with a planting age of about 10 days after sowing.

Condition of Kangkong in My Hydroponic Garden
Just like pakcoy, this week I have also harvested all the kangkong that I planted. After the process of harvesting the kangkong, I also made preparations for the replanting process.

I did sowing kangkong seeds for 400 pots of planting media. The watercress that I sow is growing very well. All the kangkong seeds have grown uniformly, and I plan to transfer them to my hydroponic growing medium in a few days.

Conditions of Lettuce in My Hydroponic Garden

Lettuce is one of the few vegetables left in my hydroponic garden. Currently, I grow lettuce in two places. First, I planted about 250 pots of lettuce on my second floor balcony and second, I planted about 150 pots of lettuce in my hydroponic garden area. In total, I have about 400 pots of lettuce of various growing ages.

All the lettuce that I planted grew very well and optimally. During this planting period, I used hydroponic liquid fertilizer with a concentration of around 600-700 ppm. I also carry out routine maintenance by spraying plant-based pesticides to prevent pests that have the potential to damage the lettuce I plant.

Mint Leaves Condition in My Hydroponic Garden

Finally, I will invite you to see the condition of the mint leaves that I have planted in my hydroponic garden. As I often cover in my weekly hydroponic journal content, I grow mint in a pvc pipe installation. I have several PVC hydroponic installations in the form of racks or wall mounts.

This week, I also harvested mint leaves. I got about 500 grams of mint leaves and of course sold them for a very good price. My plan, I will also start rejuvenating some damaged mint leaves. I thought, this work will be harder but I have to keep the spirit to live it.
