Hello everyone, welcome.
How are you all? I hope you are in good condition and always happy wherever you are. I remember a memory in the afternoon when I was in the city of Yogyakarta last month, I explore the city of Yogyakarta which is famous for its special features.

This special area of Yogyakarta is indeed different from other cities throughout Indonesia, because this city has the privilege of being the center of government which is governed by the Yogyakarta Palace kingdom. If gubernatorial elections are held in all regions in Indonesia, different from the others, Yogyakarta is led by the Sultan of Yogyakarta who is drawn from the Sultan's family lineage first.

Of course, when there is a kingdom in an area, it definitely has a special residence or what is called a palace. The term 'Keraton Yogyakarta' is the name given, for this reason, all Yogyakarta nobles who currently have the throne will live in the Yogyakarta Palace which is located in the center of Yogyakarta city.

One thing that has become a myth in the Yogyakarta Palace is this very famous pair of banyan trees. Both of them have the names Kiai Dewadaru and Kiai Janadaru. Both have a philosophy and are taken from banyan tree seeds from different places of birth. One comes from Majapahit and the other comes from Padjadjaran.

Of course, there is a meaning behind the banyan tree that has grown since this palace was built. It is said that this banyan tree is similar in shape to an umbrella and umbrellas are used for protection, as the Kingdom of Yogyakarta protects its people and is the main fortress for its people.

Can you see the photo I took when I visited the Yogyakarta square to see a pair of banyan trees belonging to the palace. This is for a simple reason, previously there were many stories about this banyan tree. It is said that there are many people who deliberately close their eyes to pass between the banyan trees, but often fail and no one can even get through. There is a myth that I have heard that if someone can pass between the two banyan trees, then in the future many wishes in their life will come true.

This news reached the ends of the islands in Indonesia, so most people went to the palace square specifically to carry out this ritual or tradition. In fact, there are even many tourists who are willing to come here on purpose to do this, before this square closes in 2021. Unfortunately, the Yogyakarta Palace closed it because they felt that this place was too dirty because it was visited by many people and there were even many traders without permits selling here. and creates a lot of waste.

Of course, this tree means a lot to the people of Yogyakarta, because it will always be opened during the month of Muharram. It is believed that every 1 Muharram, there are many royal events held in this square. especially to clean several items that are considered sacred to the kingdom, such as the carriage used by the king, jewelry, certain items that are always cleaned at certain times. Right under these two banyan trees, and that is the moment that the people of Yogyakarta have been waiting for the most.

These two banyan trees once died and of course were eventually replaced by seeds of other trees from the same origin. It is believed that this banyan tree means a lot to the palace and will continue to be preserved. Until finally the two trees were given some kind of protection and fenced so that they could remain sustainable and healthy. Avoid lots of hands and people to grow very well. You can see that the white wall at the stem is given a wall that is high enough so that only the leaves can be seen.
