Georgetown Historic Site, Penang - Malaysia

Hello.

I understand why so many Indonesians come all the way to Georgetown for a vacation. In addition to this city being one of the destinations for easy, cheap and close medical checkups from where I live, one of the reasons is that this city is so calm and peaceful.

It's my first time going to Georgetown. I only stayed here for 3 days because I accompanied my wife who was on vacation, so I also wanted to join. The trip to Penang or Georgetown only takes 45 minutes by plane, even longer for immigration matters alone. It was boring because you had to queue and wait for your turn to check your passport.

The small and not too crowded airport and easy access to transportation to Georgetown made everything very easy. Even as a first-time visitor to this city, it really is a great place to visit many times.

I walked around Georgetown a little, the hot sun made my head dizzy, but even so, the traffic on the road was not that heavy. Like a village with few vehicles, that was my first impression of Georgetown.

The old buildings standing all over the streets were what amazed me as my first impression. This city is called an old town because almost all the buildings in this city are preserved and maintained by the government as cultural heritage. It is very pleasant when a city truly belongs to all citizens and the government who unite for the progress of the city.

Almost along the road that I explored, this city is very dense with trade, a center of trade even though this city is very small when compared to the mainland of Kuala Lumpur. However, this city is refreshing because it is far from the hustle and bustle of the dense and busy city.

Who is not impressed with this city. There are parts that look crowded, some that look quiet, everything is balanced. Busy cities with various vehicles are also there, but on the other side there are places where not even a single vehicle is seen. I think Georgetown has a unique side.

The air is quite warm because Penang is an island and Georgetown is also along the coast, so, the bright blue sky, the strong wind and the smell of the sea are very pronounced. There is nothing more interesting than Georgetown at that time. Radiated from some of the photos I have, so beautiful and natural.

It's not wrong if when you are in Georgetown you have to use a bicycle because it will really help you enjoy the ins and outs of this warm Georgetown. Of course with thin clothes and using sunblock all over the body.

One of the things I like about Georgetown is the friendliness of the local people which makes me feel even warmer here. Without excessive scams, maybe because the people have understood that there are many tourists, whether for medical checkups or vacations, but what is clear is that this city makes me want to always come back because the beauty of the city is so well maintained.

I just saw that the photos I took actually have good lighting. That's thanks to the weather in Georgetown.
