Hello Gardeners
How are you today ? I hope and pray, we are all always given health and also happiness in living this life. I'm very happy, finally given the time and opportunity to be able to participate and contribute to the HiveGarden Community after I've been resting for a week.

As my friends know, as long as I actively carry out blogging activities on Hive. I try to write down experiences and also stories about my gardening activities in my hydroponic garden. What have I been doing for the past two weeks? keep watching my hydroponic journal this time.

Conditions of My Hydroponic Garden

Why was I absent from writing about my hydropnic journal last week? To be honest, during the past week, I was very busy doing various activities. Such as making hydroponic installations and providing some hydroponic training for the community and students. I plan to share this exciting experience at another time.

Due to quite busy activities, I did not do some important work in my hydroponic garden. One of them is sowing vegetable seeds. Two weeks ago, in my weekly hydroponic journal. Almost all of the vegetables I grow in my hydroponic garden are harvested. I was late for seeding so my hydroponic garden looks empty. Because of that, last week I asked my wife and parents for help in sowing vegetables and transferring the seeds to my planting medium.

Condition of Pakcoy in My Hydroponic Garden

IMG_9043 Large.jpeg
This week, I did sowing pakcoy seeds for my hydroponic garden. I sow around 600 pakcoy seeds regularly. The vegetable seeds that I sowed grew optimally. In addition, growth and size are also uniform. Sowing good seeds, will smooth and make the vegetables that are planted grow optimally.

Apart from seeding. I have also transferred about 200 pakcoy seedlings to my hydroponic medium. I carry out periodic transfers, with the aim that when I harvest later I get regular crops and don't harvest all at once.

Currently, the pakcoy that I plant in my hydroponic garden is about 12 days old after sowing. These vegetables grow very well and optimally in the early planting period this time. For the planting period in the first week, I only use liquid fertilizer with a concentration of around 1000-1100 ppm. In this early planting period, it is very important to apply vegetable fertilizer with the right concentration to vegetables so that vegetables grow optimally.

Condition of Kangkong in My Hydroponic Garden

Next, I want to invite my friends to see the condition of water spinach in my hydroponic garden. This March, I tried to plant kale again after last February, I didn't plant kale at all. I did the kangkong seeding on March 8, 2023. Then, last Monday I transferred the kale seeds that I had sown to my hydroponic planting medium.

In this planting period, I planted about 300 pots of kangkong in my hydroponic garden. The watercress that I planted in my hydroponic media grew very well and optimally. We can see the growth of this kangkong from the color of the kangkong leaves and also the uniform growth conditions. From my visual observations, for the planting period this time the kangkong that I planted will produce maximum yields.

Conditions of Lettuce in My Hydroponic Garden

Next, I would like to invite my friends at Hive Garden Community to see the lettuce that I grow in my hydroponic garden. So, I've been very busy these past two weeks. There are only lettuce and mint that I grow in my hydroponic garden.

This week, the lettuce I planted is about 35 days old, which means it's ready to be harvested. I do periodic harvests every other day to finish off this ready-to-harvest lettuce. The lettuce that I planted this time grew very optimally. We can see from the lettuce leaves that are lush and fresh. In addition, the green color of the leaves indicates that lettuce grows with the right treatment.

I'm also seeding lettuce this week. I plan to replace the lettuce I harvested with this new seed. I sowed about 250 lettuce seeds. So, when each lettuce is harvested, it will be replaced directly with new lettuce seeds. Consistency and sustainability of planting is very important for farming with a hydroponic system.

Mint Leaves Condition in My Hydroponic Garden
Finally, I want to invite my friends to see the condition of the mint leaves that I plant in my hydroponic garden. As friends know, I planted about 200 pots of mint leaves in various hydroponic installations that I own. One of them uses a PVC hydroponic installation. I try to take advantage of all the potential in my house, such as an iron fence to install a hydroponic installation for planting mint leaves.

The mint leaves that I planted in my hydroponic garden grew very well and optimally. I get a lot of benefits from growing these mint leaves. First, commercially mint leaves are very profitable because they are expensive and sought after by many people. Second, caring for mint leaves is also very easy and doesn't need a lot of special treatment. We only need to ensure that the water conditions and fertilizers used are at the right concentration.

Okay, that's all my story in my hydroponic garden this time. See you next week again.

Amazing technology for gardening. Its quite unfortunate that this Hydroponic systems are not popular here (Africa) because of the cost and technical skills required. I really admire your work in this area and would have loved to learn from your expertise. Just look at the Lettuce in your farm - so fresh, green and healthy. Keep up the great work.

If you wouldn't mind, I invite you to share short contents about your farm on Threads, you will love it. Threads is like Twitter, but on Hive. You have fun, make new friends and have conversations when you share short farm stories. Hive garden is there too. Take a look at threads: https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads

Hello @fokusnow thank you for stopping by
I feel hydroponics is suitable for use anywhere. You don't need to use expensive tools such as pipe installation, some places and villages use one pond to be able to grow vegetables in water. As the name suggests, hydroponics means growing in water.

Thank you for the invitation, I will try to make it and join there it seems very interesting.
