Hello everyone, welcome.
I have something that will definitely be very rare in the future. By the way, before I discuss it further, I have a very detailed book related to the past, precisely in 1998. Very related to October 20, 2025, the new president will be inaugurated. This book reviews the tragedy in 1998 and is very related to the next president.

The Title: Chronicle of the Kidnapping of Activists and State Violence 1998

This book is related to a person who was responsible in 1998 as the Kopassus commander during the 1998 crisis tragedy. There were so many activists and students who disappeared that year. Although in a short time, it made human rights in this country have a low index. It's none other than about the next president.

In this book, there are lots of writings about various news and information related to the tragedy. In fact, there are many archives that not everyone knows, this book is complete and might be a book that makes your detective soul appear drastically.

I can feel how difficult it is to get various important information and put it in one book with many pages. There are 505 pages that are even suffocating, so touching and a little dizzy with various complicated puzzles.

The many and thick pages do not make the price of this book expensive, even far from expensive. Under 8 dollars, I don't think this makes the author earn much money. Maybe more than that, there is something he wants to express, but cannot be expressed in public in detail.

This book was distributed in January 2024, shortly before the presidential election. Made by someone who has a profession as a journalist, his name is Muhidin M. Dahlan. With a cover that is really very thick with thriller design or murder cases. I like the details in this book.

It could be said to be a Black Campaign at that time, but, there are so many interesting archives and that makes everyone have to read this. at least understand how that year a tragedy occurred that cannot be forgotten until now. The activists have not returned home until now. Let alone their bodies being found, even news of them is unknown.

Until now, some of the people involved have not even been given any punishment, not even to be named as suspects, let alone become defendants and reveal what this case is like. Very sad and touching, but, that's how this book makes our emotions aroused.

Will the people involved in the reformation reveal everything about what happened? Hopefully, this book can help.

This remains one of interesting topic that needed to be discussed! I don't think younger generation like myself knows much about them. Most of us were only born at the time and throughout our education, it wasn't talked about enough. A lot of mass genocide that happened even in 1965 was a story I heard from my grandparents and parents, at school I didn't recall we ever talked about any of that. I'd love getting the book and hope it's available at Shoppee.

In fact, this book has indeed had an extraordinary impact so that Gen Z and beyond know that there is something big behind the years 1965 and 1998 which were dark times for civilization in Indonesia. I hope you can get it, because I think next year there probably won't be any more of this book.

This book reminds me of a book in a book I once read. The protagonist had written something similar to this book you reviewed and boy! was his story interesting. I do want my inner detective to appear so I'll definitely look out for it

'65 and '98 tragedies are still a mystery, maybe forever. Our nation has a human rights debt to its own citizens in the '65 riots and has a human rights debt to a certain race in '98. Who is the mastermind? Where they all were 'missing' ? Who is capable of revealing? It has always been a puzzle.

But, I am happy because with the many historical fictions either in the form of books or indie films, many nowadays generation raising the case, so, at least this human tragedy does not just disappear. Who knows when, someone must be responsible!

I even read it very slowly. The content is related to news in newspapers and magazines. Similar to a clipping, a note when I studied journalism in junior high school. I finished reading this book in 6 months and it felt very heavy to enjoy as a series.
