On a walk with my friend

Walking the streets of Caracas in the middle of a cloudy and gray day that presents for me one of the most extraordinary experiences that can be lived in the Venezuelan capital, because I am a person who likes cold weather and days covered by fog, this is how today I received the visit of a great friend, His name is Victor and he comes from deep in the Venezuelan Andes, his visit to Caracas is purely tourist, he is looking for new adventures and wants to know a city of which he has heard many times but it is not until now when he has the chance to live it and feel it in first person.

Recorrer las calles de Caracas en medio de un día nublado y gris que presenta para mí una de las experiencias más extraordinarias que se pueden vivir en la capital venezolana, pues soy una persona que le gustan los climas fríos y los días cubiertos por la neblina, es de esta forma como hoy recibí la visita de un gran amigo, su nombre es Víctor y viene de la profundidad de los Andes venezolanos, su paso por Caracas es netamente turístico, se encuentra buscando nuevas aventuras y quiere conocer a una ciudad de la cual ha oído hablar en muchas ocasiones pero, no es sino hasta ahorita cuando tiene la posibilidad de vivirla y sentirla en primera persona.

On this occasion I took him to know the Plaza Francia de Altamira, a place that over the years has become a true icon of the east of Caracas, it is a space left over from the 50s, but whose main attraction is the great obelisk that crowns its center and which has witnessed countless events that have marked the destinies of the city, But the incredible thing about this space is that despite having several years since its creation, today we can enjoy a totally modern environment, 100% functional and very clean, which makes it ideal to spend a pleasant and different time in the company of a great friend.

En esta ocasión lo llevé a conocer la Plaza Francia de Altamira, un lugar que con el pasar de los años se ha convertido en un verdadero icono del este caraqueño, se trata de un espacio quedada de los años 50, pero cuyo principal atractivo es el gran obelisco que corona su centro y el cual ha sido testigo de innumerables acontecimientos que han marcado los destinos de la ciudad, pero lo increíble de este espacio es que a pesar de contar con varios años desde su creación hoy podemos disfrutar de un entorno totalmente moderno, 100% funcional y muy limpio, lo cual lo hace ideal para pasar un rato agradable y diferente en compañía de un gran amigo.

No doubt that Victor would be amazed with this scenario, while to the north we see the great mountain to the south escorts us the British tower, to the east a large skyscraper whose interior shelters a hotel stands firmly elegant to one side of the square and to the west we see the profile of a slightly more classic urbanization, but that little by little are dwarfed with the skyscrapers that rise behind it. With a little morning dew our walk through the square was like walking through the Andes, a climate that for him was perfect and for me was super inspiring, between memories, conversations and jokes we walked all around and we are proud of the opportunity that life gives us to spend a different and pleasant time.

Sin duda alguna que Víctor quedaría maravillado con este escenario, mientras que al norte se ve la gran montaña al sur nos escolta la torre británica, al este un gran rascacielos cuyo interior resguardo un hotel se levanta firme elegante a un costado de la plaza y al oeste vemos el perfil de una urbanización un poco más clásica, pero que poco a poco se ven empequeñecida con los rascacielos que se elevan detrás de ella. Con un pequeño rocío mañanero nuestro caminar por la plaza era como el andar por los Andes, un clima que para él era perfecto y para mí era súper inspirador, entre recuerdos, conversaciones y bromas recorrimos todo el entorno Y nos sentimos orgullosos por la oportunidad que nos brinda la vida de pasar un rato diferente y agradable.

The pictures came and went non-stop, there was no doubt that we both wanted to keep a little piece of that moment in the trunk of memories, but at the same time I was looking to capture those images that would allow me to share with all of you a good job and a nice moment, fortunately the gray weather helped me to generate a photographic series where my friend and the city generated a really special environment.

Las fotografías iban y venían sin parar, era indudable que ambos queríamos guardar un pedacito de ese momento en el baúl de los recuerdos, pero al mismo tiempo yo buscaba capturar esas imágenes que me permitieran compartir con todos ustedes un buen trabajo y un lindo momento, afortunadamente el clima gris me ayudó para generar una serie fotográfica en donde mi amigo y la ciudad generaron un entorno realmente muy especial.

It's great to have the opportunity to share different moments in the company of great people, sometimes just going for a walk around a square can be a super important factor in someone's life, besides these small moments are the ones that generate fundamental details that allow to build a friendship relationship that already has a long time and hopefully will last for much longer.

Es genial tener la oportunidad de compartir momentos diferentes en compañía de grandes personas, a veces solo ir y dar un paseo alrededor de una plaza puede ser un factor súper importante en la vida de alguien, además son estos pequeños momentos los que generan detalles fundamentales que permiten ir abonando una relación de amistad que ya tiene mucho tiempo y que ojalá perdure por mucho más.
