What is With the Strange Symbolism on the Front of an Oreo Cookie?
Everyone Love Oreo Cookies! They're an American treat, perfect dipped in milk. But have you ever looked at the front of an Oreo cookie and noticed a lot of unusual symbols on the front?
Free Masonic TEMPLAR Symbolism
There are at least three Masonic symbols used in the design, some clear and some more obscure or even eliminated. Looking closely at the pattern, we will see the Patriarchal Cross (the cross of Lorainne), the Templar Cross and the Square and Compass.
The Patriarchal Cross
When looking at the pattern, our eyes are drawn immediately to the word "Oreo" in the center. There is an triangle arrow pointing us up. If we follow the arrow up, we see the a funny looking symbol. It's a cross with two bars, instead of one. This is the "Patriarchal Cross" also known as the "Cross of Lorraine". It's origin is from the knights templar.
The Patriarchal Cross is an upright pale, crossed by two bars. This cross displayed in purple is the insignia of the officers of the Grand Encampment. Although there are no references to this particular cross in the ritual, it is regarded as being representative of Archepiscopal rank in the Church for many ages; therefore it is symbolic of high rank in the Order. In Templar correspondence, this cross is traditionally prefixed to the signature of either a Preceptor (Commander) or Past Preceptor. Source: Enigma of Freemasonry
The Cross of Lorraine became better known by Magnum P.I. who had a Patriarchal Cross featured prominently on his ring.
The Templar Cross
All around the edge of the cookie, we see a repeating pattern of triangle crosses. Often mistaken for flowers, it's the Templar Cross pattern around the edge.
The Cross Patee is formed with spreading arms, closed at the ends. To American Templars, it is known as the Templar Cross. This cross represents the spread of the Gospel to the four corners of the Earth. It was the symbol of the original Knights Templar. Traditionally, the cross arms should spread with a curve, as worn by English Templars. In the United States it is typically depicted in the form of four equilateral triangles meeting at a single point in the center. The officers of a Grand Commandery wear a scarlet Templar cross. A Templar Cross in purple tincture denotes a Past Grand Commander. Source: Enigma of Freemasonry
Templar Flag
This symbol became famous from the blasphemous "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" The Templar Cross if clearly seen on the chest of the buff "Prince Adam" when he turns into He-Man. By the power of Grayskull indeed.
The Square and Compass
This one is trickier to see, because it's inverted. Looking again at the "Oreo" we see a triangle arrow pointing down. You have to turn the cookie around to see what the down arrow is pointing at. It's the Free Masonic Square and Compass.
The Square and Compass is the most iconic Free-Masonic symbol there is. It's not very clear in the pattern, because of it's small size, but the original design had the Square and Compass to symbolize freemasonry.
This symbol may have been too obvious, because later designs change this to a flower pattern. If you look at a modern Oreo cookie, this symbol has been removed.

Conclusion
Occult symbolism is everywhere. Does this mean we shouldn't eat Oreo cookies? Personally, I don't have a problem with it. The point of this article is for us to recognize the symbolism we are exposed to every day without even realizing it. We are being indoctrinated with images so they become familiar with us if we ever are selected to rise up the religious mystery schools. Knights of the Templar may seem Christian, but the emphasis is never on Christ, but the spreading of their gospel - the gospel of lawlessness and an introduction into the occult mystery schools.
Enjoy the cookie, beware of the symbolism.
Bless the Most High!
Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin
We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.
No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13
Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny
Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

One could argue that the Knights Templar worry Christian organization with Traditions that were rooted in the faith but the Pope feared that he could not control the order aunt ordered their demise. Just a different view.
Either way thanks for sharing.
Quite possible. My grandpa was a Templar, but I never asked him about it. He liked Oreo cookies too... maybe a connection? :-)
Lol If liking oreos make you a templar then sign me up lol
Okay! I rewatched the whole Ron Howard starring Tom Hanks series starting with the DaVinci Code and it turns out those symbols have a completely different meaning and lead to where is it just in the nick of time but I am no spoiler for fourth and fifth movie in the series
Years ago, I read the first two Dan Brown books, but I only got that far. I began researching some of the concepts of the books and discovered it's based more on legend than on fact. Legends do carry more weight than modern fiction books and oftentimes contain a grain of truth, but in the end causes us to swallow a lie. It's a fun ride though! Gnostic fan fiction!
I love it. I will never eat a oreo without see all the simbols . Jo
Me neither!
I have noticed the symbols, didn't look that closely at them! I do like cookies though! haha
I like the cookies too!
Oh, this is exciting stuff right there! Twenty years ago I may have gotten even more excited about uncovering conspiracies in everyday objects... You know about the pack of Marlboros? (How could you not! Though I realize, smoking has become very uncool since, and thus the secret symbolism found on cigi packs got less interesting. Could the same fate be awaiting Oreos once high doses of sugar are made uncool too?)
But wait, that's not even what I set out to write!
Could it be that the same symbol could mean different things in different contexts? Take the alleged Patriarchal Cross on the Hungarian (and these days also Slovakian) coat of arms. Though it appears identical, it was actually based on the symbol of the egy sound in the ancient Hungarian script, which also symbolized sacred unity. Even in modern Hungarian the word for the number one is egy.
Or the Iron Cross, which goes back to the order of the Teutonic Knights. Now I'm not saying the two orders were completely separate, on the contrary... But that also meant neither of them had exclusivity on the symbol.
Finally, you may have heard that conquistadors in the lands of the Maya came upon crosses erected in certain spots in the mountains, which looked exactly like christian crosses. Did the Maya know something about Christianity before European contact? Well, the explanation is simple: they didn't. To them the symbol of the cross simply marked the location of springs.
Anyway, as you can see, I still can get excited about these things! So thanks for sharing it. Though I have to admit that the biggest question these days seems to be: why would anyone put any types of symbolism onto a cookie, and sell it to people who could clearly care less about it?
Thank you for your comment and enthusiasm! Interesting about the Hungarian coat of arms. Crosses are a very simple symbol and I'm sure it's meaning is not universal. It's more the combination of all three symbols together that makes a case in my opinion.
That is a great question. Perhaps it's purpose is for subtle advertising. Nobody can be invited into the Free Masonic society, a person has to inquire about it. Maybe the symbolism is there to cause us to subconsciously associate these symbols with positive memories. Or maybe it's just an inside joke.
Some of my ancestors and relatives may have been Freemasons or somewhat connected. I'm not totally sure yet. So, I sometimes think about these things. Is it true that masons were infiltrated by the Illuminati, by Jesuits, and others, like as early as like the 1600's and that masons were simply trying to have clubs and build things as architects before that right? I didn't notice the symbols on the Oreo Cookies. Thanks for sharing.
The true history of Free Masonry has been lost, many masons have tried to recreate it, but filled it's history with all sorts of fantastic connections. Nobody knows if the historical Knights Templar exist today in the Masonic order or if they borrowed the legends.
I believe that at least some of it is true, that it traces back through the Egyptians, the Babylonians, etc.
A fascinating article, never saw that but am I surprised?
Thank you also for your clear testimony for the Gospel and for freedom.
Blessings!
😄😇😉
Oh my gosh, this is fantastic information sir ironshield, I had no idea those symbols were on there! Wow. lol. VEry interesting indeed to show these so openly. Kinda makes me hungry though!
