I had made arrangements to visit grandma today a week ago, but with the surprise sicknesses, we called and canceled. But because I had already opened my schedule, I decided to go solo since I was feeling fine. My wife stayed home with the kiddos.

This photo was taken in 1950, which is now about 74 years ago. The style of dress and hair has changed much in those years, but that smile is just the same. This photo of my grandma was taken just days after the birth of... my dad!

Hospitality has always been a pleasure for my grandma, even as she needs assistance to get around, she still served me tea!

Her apartment is completely spotless and clean. And so very quiet. The only sound is the grandfather clock ticking and chiming every 15 minutes.

I brought over some pumpkin bread that my wife made and it was well enjoyed. I noticed a Gateway cup, as I sold my grandparents a computer many many years ago.

She served some very enjoyable tea from Harney and Sons, Paris tea which happens to be my wife's favorite also.

She handed me her iPad, which she uses to keep up with family photos. I had linked my blog (this blog) on her iPad, but for some reason the URL had changed to the home-page, instead of my url. It took some investigating and tweaking to solve the riddle of how to created a link to this blog, but I solved it.

It was a nice visit, although longer than I expected. I think my grandmother enjoyed the company!
