Lacking a Sense of Perspective

The World Should Be Rejoicing Right Now

Especially if you live in the US. Not only did we avoid another Benghazi situation, we avoided another FIVE Benghazi situations. Oh and World War Three.

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books.

More and more I often ask, "Where's the logic and common sense in the News reporting?"

Maintain the "narrative"... another word for story. We presume it's a true story, but for them, truth is not as important as the story.

In their minds, as long as little story is continually fitting in with the big story, they can mislead and lie all the want. Or more accurately, the little lies have to fit inside the big lie, so all continuee progressing according to the plan.

The media always paints these guys as terrorists and while I don't have any particular interest in Soleimani's life, I can't help but wonder the circumstances behind his activities.
I mean, if we were to count every President of America body count in isolation, they'd also seem like terrorists.

We will probably never know the circumstances behind his activities. We can gain a clearer perspective of the situation by listening to the Iranians who have skin in in the game. They don't all chant "death to America".

Yes and in the same manner, not all Americans think he deserved to be killed or was a terrorist.

The aircraft incident was absurd and a literal representation of "when elephants fight, it's the grass that suffers". Iran have fucked things up for themselves with the international community and will get no sympathy from anyone any where.

However, sometimes, with this situation, I just wonder.

"when elephants fight, it's the grass that suffers"

Interesting quote.

with this situation, I just wonder.

Yes, I wonder too. I don't assume Soleimani was a terrorist because I'm told he is, what I'm learning is that he has been a thorn in the side the the US for years and he's been tolerated. That is, until the attempted Benghazi part two that was foiled. Iran didn't know there was a line they'd better not cross. They know now.

Yeah but this is of course from the "USA point of view".

Yes of course, but look at it also from the eyes of an Iranian. We in the US are fed the line that the Iranian people are furious at the US for killing their hero - and we believe it. This is an assumption, reinforced by our media.

The reality is that the Iranian people are greatly relieved to finally see the regime get a kick in the face. For the first time, instead of saying "Death to America" they're saying “Death to dictator!” and “Basijis, IRGC, you are our ISIS!” Source

The Iranians know that the greater threat to their lives is IRAN, not the US.

Well yeah, this is a fact.
I'm not a fan of the USA always meddling only when it suits the US but at the same time, it's a fact that can't be erased that the US's influence sort of makes things better, only just though.
I guess a bit of my grievance is borne out of the fact that the US prance around like the heroes of Justice but haven't done enough to strongarm Nigeria into accepting the same energy used in the middle East to fix the menace that is Boko Haram and their Isis-esque activities in the Northern part of Nigeria, where I currently live.

I agree. Boko Haram is a bigger problem than Iran.
