Dirty Old Quarter 1978

I dont always feel like an old man, actually im not that old. But when i find a coin minted the year of my birth looking this old and worn, i wonder.

Im not made of copper clad like this quarter, but I have a bunch of little ones to keep me on my toes and feeling young.

Then i realize how old im getting! My 46 year old eyes read 1978, when the quarter is actually dated 1973. This wuarter is five years older than me! Is this what ill look like at 51???

It really does make you feel like an old man, I'm in the same boat! We just aren't young as we were once were. I don't know how you keep up with your young kids, I'm your age and they would wear me out!

46 is still very young. Time flies. Enjoy every minute with your kids. Mine are in University now.
