Sunflower pot holder
Saludos querida comunidad, esta es mi participación en el concurso NEEDLEWORK YOUR KITCHEN , la idea del proyecto que les presento la tuvo mi mamá @yole , quien es la reina de la cocina en mi casa y por lo tanto consulté con ella para saber que quería que yo tejiera para la cocina, ella sabía exactamente lo quería y casi que estaba esperando mi pregunta, me dijo haz un agarrador de ollas nuevo que los que tengo ya están viejos y quiero uno bonito, como sé que a ella le gustan mucho las flores, decidí hacer uno con un girasol en centro, por lo que hacer un granny me pareció muy buena idea.
Greetings dear community, this is my participation in the NEEDLEWORK YOUR KITCHEN contest, the idea of the project that I present to you came from my mom @yole, who is the queen of the kitchen in my house and therefore I consulted with her to know what she wanted that I knit for the kitchen, she knew exactly what she wanted and she was almost waiting for my question, she told me make a new pot holder because the ones I have are already old and I want a nice one, as I know she likes flowers a lot , I decided to make one with a sunflower in the center, so making a granny seemed like a very good idea.
Materiales / Materials
- Pabilo de colores: verde olivo, naranja, amarillo, azul, verde oscuro, verde claro.
- Ganchillo # 0
- Tijera
- Colored wick: olive green, orange, yellow, blue, dark green, light green.
- Crochet # 0
- scissors
Proceso / Process
Hilera 1: Con hilo verde olivo hacer 16 puntos altos en un anillo.
Hilera 2: Cambiar a hilo amarillo, (hacer 1 punto puff y 1 una cadena) X 16.
Nota: el punto puff se refiere cuando en un mismo punto se hacen 3 puntos altos a la mitad y se cierran juntos, esto forma una bolita o relieve.
Hilera 3: Hacer (1 punto piña y 2 cadenas) X 16
Nota: El punto piña es similar al punto puff, pero se hacen 4 puntos altos dobles y se cierran juntos.
Row 1: With olive green thread make 16 treble crochets in a ring.
Row 2: Change to yellow yarn, (make 1 puff stitch and 1 chain) X 16.
Note: The puff stitch refers to when in the same stitch 3 double crochets are made in the middle and they are closed together, this forms a ball or relief.
Row 3: Make (1 pineapple stitch and 2 chains) X 16
Note: The pineapple stitch is similar to the puff stitch, but 4 treble crochets are made and cast off together.
Hilera 4: Cambiar a hilo verde, se trabaja en los agujeros formados en la hilera anterior, hacer 3 puntos altos juntos , hacer en el siguiente agujero 3 puntos altos dobles 3 cadenas y 3 puntos altos dobles. En el siguiente hacer 3 puntos altos juntos.
Cambiar a hilo azul y hacer 3 puntos bajos juntos, repetir la secuencia que se hizo con el hilo verde, luego hacer otros 3 puntos bajos juntos.
Cambiar a hilo verde y repetir la secuencia de puntos correspondiente al color. Luego hacer lo mismo con el hilo azul para terminar la hilera.
Row 4: Change to green thread, work in the holes formed in the previous row, make 3 double crochets together, make 3 treble crochets in the next hole ,3 chains and 3 double treble crochets together . In the next one make 3 double crochets together.
Switch to blue yarn and make 3 single crochets together, repeat the sequence as done with the green yarn, then make another 3 single crochets together.
Change to green thread and repeat the sequence of stitches corresponding to the color. Then do the same with the blue yarn to finish the row.
Hileras 5-10: Con hilo azul hacer solo puntos bajos a excepción de las esquinas , allí hacer : 1 puntos bajo, 2 cadenas y 1 punto bajo en el mismo punto.
Hileras 11-12: Igual que las hileras anteriores pero con verde claro.
Hilera 13: Hacer solo puntos bajos.
Hacer un aza para colgar con 10 cadenas y cerrar con 1 punto deslizado, esconder la hebra.
Rows 5-10: With blue yarn make only single crochet except for the corners, there make : 1 single crochet, 2 chains and 1 single crochet together
Rows 11-12: Same as previous rows but with light green.
Row 13: Work single crochet only.
Make a loop to hang with 10 chains and bind off with 1 slip stitch, hide the yarn.
Resultado / Result
This time it didn't seem right to me to use acrylic fibers so that's why I decided to use wick thread, fortunately I had the necessary colors, although I would like to make the center of the flower with brown, I think olive green was good, my mom is happy and that's the important thing, I hope you liked it too 🥰

Muy Lindo, y te cuento que para lo caliente eml mejor material que puedes usar es el algodón, el pabilo es hilo de algodón asi que es perfecto no solo en los colores si no también por para el uso y la resistencia al calor... Gracias por el tutorial me gusto mucho... Suerte en el concurso!

Que belleza! Los girasoles tienen que hace que vayan bien con cualquier cocina! Seguro porque nos recuerda el aceite! Te felicito por la paciencia, el tejido se nota que es muy trabajoso y requiere de gran atención. Y tienes razón, el acrílico podría causar accidentes con el fuego de la cocina. Saludos!

Otra de tus hermosos proyectos de crochet, al ver el paso a paso el color te atrapa combinan perfectamente, debe ser un arduo trabajo crear algo como esto.
