Dark Enchantress Macrame Wall Hanging / Splinterlands Art Contest Week 265
Saludos a todos, hoy comparto con ustedes mi participación en el Splinterlands Art Contest Week 265, para esto he hecho un colgante de pared en la técnica de macramé, el personaje que escogí en Dark Enchantress, según su historia ella vivía en Lyveria siendo al hija de un granjero, pero cuando conoció al Señor de las Tinieblas se enamoró y firmó el Contrato Oscuro y se convirtió en la Hechicera Oscura, me gustó su historia además que por ser víspera de Halloween me pareció interesante hacer un personaje naje que se viera como una gran hechicera o bruja, espero les guste.
Greetings everyone, today I share with you my participation in the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 265, for this I have made a wall hanging in the macramé technique, the character I chose in Dark Enchantress, according to her story she lived in Lyveria being the daughter of a farmer, but when she met the Lord of Darkness she fell in love and signed the Dark Contract and became the Dark Enchantress. I liked her story and since it was Halloween I thought it was interesting to make a naje character that looked like a great sorceress or witch, I hope you like it.
Proceso / Process
Para elaborar este colgante lo primero que hice fue recortar la imagen para determinar las dimensiones del patrón rectangular, posteriormente seleccioné los colores de hilo. Usé hilo acrílico para crochet, de color naranja para el fondo, negro y gris oscuro para la ropa, morado claro y oscuro para la piel, amarillo claro y oscuro, verde claro y oscuro para los detalles del vestuario. Asimismo el cabello es blanco y gris, finalmente rojo para los ojos, en total usé 14 colores.
To make this wall hanging, the first thing I did was cut out the image to determine the dimensions of the rectangular pattern, then I selected the thread colors. I used acrylic crochet thread, orange for the background, black and dark gray for the clothes, light and dark purple for the skin, light and dark yellow, light and dark green for the costume details. Likewise, the hair is white and gray, finally red for the eyes, in total I used 14 colors.
Comencé cortando 16 hebras de 45 cm del hilo naranja, sobre un palito realicé un nudo con cada hebra para obtener 32 hilos guía, sobre estos hilos guía se hacen los nudos con las hebras de diferentes colores para hacer el diseño según la misma lógica de un arte de pixel donde cada nudo corresponde a un pequeño cuadro del dibujo. En total este diseño tiene 32 hilos guía y se hace completando 60 hileras de nudos.
I started by cutting 16 strands of 45 cm of orange thread, on a stick I made a knot with each strand to obtain 32 guide threads, on these guide threads the knots are made with the strands of different colors to make the design according to the same logic as a pixel art where each knot corresponds to a small square of the drawing. In total this design has 32 guide threads and is made by completing 60 rows of knots.
Comencé con los colores correspondientes la sombrero, cada hilo anudador envuelve dos veces cada hilo guía de derecha a izquierda para las hileras impares y de izquierda a derecha en las hileras pares.
I started with the corresponding hat colors, each knotting thread wrapping around each leader thread twice from right to left for the odd numbered rows and from left to right for the even numbered rows.
Algo que me gusta mucho de los diseños de cartas de Splinterlands es que se pueden adaptar muy bien a esta técnica, pues cada área del dibujo tienen un color que se puede dividir en tonos, para diferenciar el área de sombras y el área de luz.
Something that I really like about the Splinterlands card designs is that they can adapt very well to this technique, since each area of the drawing has a color that can be divided into tones, to differentiate the shadow area and the light area.
Al terminar las hileras de nudos, dividí los hilos guía en cuatro partes, con una hebra de color verde hice un nudo en cada parte y corté las hebras para emparejar las puntas. Luego con 12 hebras de 20 cm de hilo naranja hice la trenza para el colgante de pared.
When finishing the rows of knots, I divided the guide threads into four parts, with a green strand I tied a knot in each part and cut the strands to even out the ends. Then with 12 strands of 20 cm of orange thread I made the braid for the wall hanging.
Resultado / Result
Amé mucho este proyecto, el resultado fue todo lo que esperaba desde que escogí la carta de Splinterlands. Me atrevo a decir que este personaje es de los más sexys e intimidades, por eso estoy muy complacida con este colgante de pared.
I loved this project very much, the result was everything I expected since I chose the Splinterlands card. I dare say that this character is one of the sexiest and most intimate, which is why I am very pleased with this wall hanging.
