Money can't buy happiness but it can make the path for it

Money is the most important thing for us, and we all chase it desperately like mad. Without money, it's impossible to survive in this world. So, chasing desperately after it is quite understandable, and there is nothing to blame.

Actually, all of us are trying to be happy in life, and money is one of the most important elements to be happy in life. It says that money can't buy happiness, and that's true, but at the same time, it's also true that without money, it's impossible to be happy. Because if we want to fulfill our basic needs, we need money. If someone says that s/he can be happy without money, it's totally ridiculous bluffing. It's unrealistic, and I won't believe it.

So, even if money can't buy happiness, it can reduce many obstacles on the way to happiness that can make us happy. Several times buying something for someone can make them happy. Although it depends on many other things, a single product/item/thing can work as a driving factor. Let me share a story like that.

Before my family shifted to town, I stayed with one of my friends to attend my university classes, as attending university classes from the village was exhausting. In college, I just met with him a few times, and that's all, and I just knew that he was also a good student like me. I was his roommate for 1.5 years, and it was enough time to know about him. He was a serious, responsible, and introverted person. He used to be busy with his own life. Other members of the flat rarely communicated with him because of his personality. I rarely see him smiling. And as well as I can remember, he laughed sometimes while watching funny videos.

Somehow, I am quite understanding, and I understand his personality well too. Maybe it's because at some point in my life, I was like him. My communication with him became better with time, and he started to share his thoughts with me. 22nd October was his birthday. I made a plan to give him a surprise. At first, I casually wished him a happy birthday, and I know he didn't expect more than that. I was waiting for when he would leave the room and I could start decorating for the birthday celebration. I was connected with almost all of his friends there, and I informed all of them to come and give me a helping hand to decorate.

After he left the room, I immediately brought all the things. I ordered a cake one day ago, and I said to bring it from the shop while coming there. When he returned, he was quite surprised to see all the arrangements and his friends in the room wishing him happy birthday. He cut the cake, and everyone enjoyed the celebration. I arranged a feast with delicious food, and that day all of us were in a happy mood. On that day I had seen him smiling for a long time, and it was a rare sight to see. I didn't think too much while arranging it. I just wanted to celebrate his birthday. It indeed cost me a good amount of money, but the smile on his face was priceless. I felt very happy to see him happy.

He shared with me later that he was moved by it, and he never thought someday he would celebrate his birthday in that way. I made little effort, but I created moments for him for a lifetime and made him happy.
